Not entirely a regret but just annoyed at myself for not paying quite enough attention to Orbital or heading down to the front. The set started a little mediocre and I was expecting a same old set from last year but it got better but it took me longer than it should have done to realise Matt Smith was on stage when Doctor Who came on!

Friday night... Even bothering to try Gorillaz. Then it putting me so off that I only listened to a bit of Flaming Lips, and skipped Groove Armada completely.

Should have just gone to the Lips, as a work colleague has repeatedly rubbed in. Really wish I'd been there for "Do you Realize".

And on Sunday /(Monday Morning), leaving at 2am. Next year I'm taking Tuesday off as well, and planning to end the festival watching the sun come up at the stone circle.

I regret not staying up all night to watch the sunrise at the stone circle on Monday morning. Plus not bimbling more

People I was with were tired and bored (!!!) and hence followed them back, when I should have let them go back and bimbled by myself

Lesson learned

Missing Thom Yorke. Keep telling myself I'm seeing him in a month anyway so no need to be so annoyed, but it doesn't really help. <_<

And not getting the number of the girl I danced with on Friday night *sigh* :P

Glastonbury is so big that you are always missing something, the trick is not to have any regrets. I think I could do that weekend another 10 times doing completely different things.

My only regret is wasting my prime Glastonburying years not Glastonburying. Young people are stupid! ;)

I regret being so dithery about the Sunday night headliners. There were at least 4 options, all of which would have been brilliant. But me and 2 friends couldn't decide, and were a bit tired out, and in the end we had a couple of pints at the Avalon bar, within earshot of Gomez, but also within earshot of other sound sources, so I couldn't judge their performance.

Fortunately, we rounded off the night, and the festival, with a visit to the piano bar, so things ended on a high.

no regrets, being tired isn't a regret, couldnt stay awake much longer after headliners....

I do regret camping beside Park Entrance. So noisy, which contributed alot to my sleep deprivation....Definately a lot noisier than previous years.

I had such a good time, dont really have any regrets... but things I'd do differently next year are:

1) Bring more beer - 40 cans just did not do it... so I am set on 90 cans for 2011... I figure 5 during the day... 10 during the night.

2) Get more comfortable boots - My feet were in so much pain, I was still in pain 2 days after coming back.

3) Bring shorts in case is as sunny (I only had jeans)

4) Bring more money - I actually went with an amazing £10! (got fired from work 2 months before Glasto) - thinking around £300 should do.

5) Make sure my tent is bigger than my inflatable mattress!

6) Get there earlier... 11am on the Wednesday doesnt seem to be early anymore, 4 hrs q to get in is just a joke, I'm thinking 10pm Tuesday for 2011.

7) Bring a truck trolley to carry all my shit... I was carrying the biggest backpack you'll ever see, a pop up tent, another backpack, a gazebo, 2 sleeping mattresses, a bag with wellies and a football (which I had to kick all the way to the tent site) at the same time!

For those people gutted that they missed secret gigs:

For 2011, bring your phone, bookmark http://twitter.com/glastofest and http://twitter.com/glastolive as your favourites... check those pages around 1.5 hrs before a Special Guest is about to come on and it should tell you who the secret bands are.... worked really well for me.

getting a great spot right at front for Jackson Browne on sat afternoon, having a chat with a stranger and finding out only then that I had missed Thom Yorke and Johnny Greenwood the previous night. Suddenly felt like I had U2 and 40% of Radiohead taken away from me, and I just felt really sick at that moment. My stomach just sank. But, I realized what a brilliant coup it was for Glasto to have pulled it off, and so took the "it's not about me" approach and was happy they had done something like this.

also regret thinking it was The Strokes for sure on Sat at the Park, and then Sunday at bimble inn (being so paranoid now as to not miss a 'special guest' slot). Biffy Clyro=rubbish to me, but Lou Rhodes was nice and soothing.

Regret that i'm older now, and can't drink all day in the sunshine and continue into the night to make the most of the festival like i used to be able to. i was definitely hurting.

but basically...i missed Thom and Johnny. that sums it up. at least the Black Keys were good.

    • If you didn't see melt banana at Apolo. Go see them at the festival. Insane.
    • Interesting, and thanks for coming back to give an update! I've seen that the second stage looks bigger than usual too, looks to be a Serious Stages - Stellar Stage from distance photos.    Seems like sizing wise stages have been scaled up somewhat this year.
    • I see its cancelled now but they did leave it really late to announce plus they are up against Kelburn Garden Party Festival not to far from the festival site.
    • Easily my favourite set of the day.
