If the bids get up to £50+ million I think they'd be daft not to sell, the RS I've spoken to today though have both said that they'd still rather keep him, than have the £50+ million as well as whatever else is available to redevelop.

from a neutral viewpoint, i think they'd be crazy not to sell for that price. especially given his injury history.

i see what you're saying neil about perceptions but liverpool are a big enough club with a rich enough history to be able to attract players to replace him.

i think strenghtening the squad to the tune of £50m (if spent wisely obviously) is worth far more than fernando torres.

As you say, I suspect it will very much come down to what Torres wants to do and in respect to this window, perhaps, whether LFC tell him to lump it until the summer.

I reckon they can probably persuade him to stay until the summer, as he's playing better at the moment.

I guess it's become more important that they land Suarez now, so they have a chance to trial him till the summer and find out if it's their new top man (so spend less on a 2nd), or if they want to try and get someone better (which might not be so easy). If they don't get him this window then I reckon they won't get him in the summer either, and there aren't so many other decent-ish options.

I was going to guess at Walcott if the Gay Tent is referring to this story when he posted Arsenal.Clean cut image but then I can't think of an international team mate abroad other then Beckham which it clearly isn't.

nothing in the story says that the 'Prem star' is also English. To me it suggests that he isn't.
