Personal and democratic aren’t the only two course of action though so I was only loosely going for the latter.

I love hearing balotellis comments, he makes a big change from the boring drivel footballers normallly come out with. I dont know if he does it on purpose but he knows what to say to really wind up the english tabloid press which is also very funny.

Cheers. I am bothered, but it's good business and is set to bring a tidy profit I suppose. The question is quite simply is Gyan a better prospect for our team than Bent. Another is what are we going to spend the funds on - a high quality winger is required.

In other rumour news, it's been getting said around the camp fire that Bruce is on his way out over this Bent business and that O'Neill (a Sunderland fan in his youth and a fan favourite for the manager's job ever since Reid left) is on his way.

I'm exceptionally impressed with Quinn's take over in the profitable decisions being made, the players coming in and brand of football being constructed but the area of management is far from established. I don't think Quinn et al are too sure of this area, unlike every other area.

Clubs cash in on important players for one reason - the cash.

Bent is extremely likely to have been sold by the club and not by Bruce (just as Jones was being touted for sale by the club against Bruce's wishes).

And also to get them game time. Beckham was on loan at Preston, Cleverely was Watfords best player last year and is one of Wigans best players this year, Welbeck Im still not sure about though.

Like you, I'm not sure which of those Welbeck falls into. He's defo one of the better Utd youngsters I've seen in recent years, but I'm still not sure if he's actually of the level to make it at Utd.
