agreed. dunno how many times i've been at a game and thought 'can't wait to see that when i get home'. but i still know where i'd rather be though.

Me too. :)

But the amount of times watching a game in the flesh where I want to see an instant replay of an incident is huge. TV gives a view it's not possible to have from the stands certainly no less than in reverse.

A loan move for Gudjohnsen is even better, cus he's getting on a bit and only having to pay half his wages result!

Pennant is till January i heard, so just 4 months then, maybe you'll extend it if he does well.

Wilson fraid to say I don't know much about him.

Heres the big deals of the day

Jean Beausejour [Club America - Birmingham] Undisclosed

Marcus Bent [birmingham - Wolves] Loan

DJ Campbell [Leicester - Blackpool] Undisclosed

Tom Cleverley [Manchester United - Wigan] Loan

Franco Di Santo [Chelsea - Wigan] Undisclosed

Eidur Gudjohnsen [Monaco - Stoke] Loan

Asamoah Gyan [Rennes - Sunderland] £13m

Alexander Hleb [barcelona - Birmingham] Loan

Emiliano Insua [Liverpool - Galatasaray] Loan

Paul Konchesky [Fulham - Liverpool] Player exchange

Robinho [Manchester City - AC Milan] Undisclosed

Gylfi Sigurdsson [Reading - Hoffenheim] £6m

WTF!

Just watching SSN and Redknapp is on there live and he said that Bayern Munich were buying Van der Vaart yesterday for £18million but it fell through and then the chairman rang him at 4pm this afternoon and said that they can buy him for £8million so Harry said yeah lets sign him

£10 million drop in 24hours!!!!

Something iffy there

EDIT- Also said they tried to sign Ryan Babel but Liverpool wouldn't sell him [probably cus they were trying to use him in the Carlton Cole deal]

On it's day, it'll be unplayable. It's got everything.

I refuse to believe Van Der Vaart is worth the less than Scott Parker. I quite rate Parker, but VDV for £8m is one of the best deals I can remember.

There is something a bit off about it, be interesting to see if he lasts more than a season before being sold for a lot, lot more.

    • Surely the chances of Madonna doing three+ nights at BST and also Glastonbury is pretty low? I know Elton did (2?) nights at BST but it seems like it’s one or the other at this point?   A shame. I think she would be absolutely brilliant - plus, unfortunately, given that she isn’t as able as she was means this could be a now or never situation?
    • All of these were published in July of their respective year. Appreciate the festival is a little later than normal but it must surely be live in the next 48 hours? The first events start in five days! 🤣
    • Took the words out of my mouth. He never misses.   Definitely adds fuel to the fire.
    • Gavin Leigh Davis on Instagram, the Fabrizio Romano of tour leaks, says Sam Fender outdoor shows and likely festivals next year. Didn't explicitly mention Glastonbury but adds more to the rumour
    • I think a lot of you guys don't see Tate McRae as headliner material however she was originally billed to play back in 2025 and had to pull out (https://www.billboard.com/music/music-news/glastonbury-2025-headliners-revealed-tickets-line-up-1235915362/). She sold out out all of her arena shows in 2025 and just brought in huge crowds at Oshega and Lollapalooza. Given that she's gearing up to release the second album it lines her up for a tour run in her same gap as she's usually over here over Glaso weekend. I wouldn't rule her out.
