From what I've gathered over the 20 odd pages of drivel is that we have varying moral standpoints on profiting from a ticket. Some of us think it's scummy, some couldn't give a toss, some think it's Ok depending on the circumstances. Personally I think that if someone originally bought a ticket with the intention of going then for some reason couldn't go and then sold for a profit then Ok, they haven't made the best moral choice but then no one should be selling them as they can't guarantee the buyer gets in. I recently bought a ticket for a gig in London that I intended to go but then couldn't. I then sold it for a profit. Maybe I didn't make the best moral choice but I'd hardly consider myself scum.

The other big debate seems to be about touting and what extent the this could affect future Glastos. From the eBay evidence the majority of sellers are not professional touts, and with the systems in place such as registration and photo ID I can't see touting getting out of hand to the extent that loads of people will be held to ransom over costs of tickets. There'll always be people selling at inflated prices, there'll always be people selling at face value, neither are exactly in the right, so let's get on with it and have a great Glasto (for those lucky enough to go)!

This has descended into hypothetical, po-faced nonsense.

As glasto newbie said about 22 pages ago, i'm sure there are more noble causes to dedicate this much time and venom towards/against

Can I just ask, do you people posting in this thread have tickets for this year?

Catch a f'ing grip of yourselves. 22 pages of drivel, debating over someone you don't know or haven't met and what they do with the ticket they bought with their own money. Seriously. Get a life.

It's now less than 2 weeks away, you should be looking forward to it, planning meet ups, and counting sleeps. etc.

Personally, I can't go this year (First I'll miss in 12 years) and it really hurts me that the people lucky enough to get tickets are sitting around bickering like this.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
