There's a stand near the bread shop, just round the corner from the Left Field tower, at the bottom of the kids field. Best value food I've had on the site. They'll make up any combination of ingredients that you can see on the menu board if you just ask and they're stuffed to bursting.

Got to try the chicken, bacon, cheese and BBQ sauce.

Dorset Smokery - amazing smoked salmon wraps with homemade lemon mayo. mmmm. bit pricey but very gorgeous! My daughter had one every single day last year (which would have bankrupted me, but she asked for a child's portion and was given an adult sized wrap for half price!)

And a giant manic-organic brekkie on the monday. It's important to have something to look forward to on monday!

I love living in Bristol, I can go to the Thali Cafe or Pieminister whenever i want.

Still doesn't stop me going and eating there at Glasto of course. Pieminister do without a doubt the best pies i have ever tasted, i've tried the square pies and they weren't even close. If i could i would eat every meal smothered with pieminister's red wine gravy *drools*.

Le grand bouffe is overpriced yes, but you CANNOT compare tartiflette to chips!!!!

I love wandering into the greenfields in the mornings and searching out a veggie breakfast being served from some tent full of hippies and then sitting one the floor in the sun outside with a plate piled high with food and a proper mug of tea. Bliss.

What types of food do you people reckon are missing or underrepresented at Glasto? A friend of mine and I are thinking about running a festival food stall at a few festies next year and at glasto in 2013 and we're trying to find our niche

I do some fairly nifty fajitas with chicken and cactus (yes, many species are edible, tastes like a sweeter version of butternut squash imho)cooked with a few dashes of tequila, but i'm not sure i'd be able to price it competitivly.

Ive never seen mexican at a fest. I f**king love faijitas and burritos and all that, though I suspect somewhere at glasto does this.

As someone has already mentioned, the Moroccan Tangine place at the end of Shangri La was superb.

Grand Bouffe speaks for itself. I'd also recommend Pilton Pasta near the Acoustic field.

all the growler hate. Everything you could want from a fast food meal, all in an easy to hold roll!

Previous years I've always seen something I like when not hungry, then usually spent hours looking for it again and failed.

Never got a Crocodile burger (did used to eat crocodile occasionally when I lived in Papua new Guinea as a kid.)

Good:

Yeo Valley frozen yoghurt - excellent value and really nice for soothing your throat from the night before while wandering up to watch the first band on.

Milkshake stand in Holts (silly expensive though, of course.)

£1 spring rolls

Meal in a yorkshire pudding - not that great, but sadly the best proper 'meal' I could think of.

Food without meat!

Spicy food.

(So, yes, I won't even go near a food stall in the greenfields!)

Usually end up taking a load of my own stuff. Will have a campervan parked up so will try and keep the gas fridge on in that, to keep me in fresh meat for BBQs etc (just have to do an occasional trip back). Often take in some beans and cheese, heat up the beans on the fire, then get a bacon baked potato and add my own stuff to it so I get decent quantities.

The Growler is lauded on here but how many would actually go out of their way to buy a baguette filled with bacon chips and cheese at home? Now bacon and brie and you're talking.

Le Grande Bouff is probably the best of the lot in terms of filling you up with good quality nosh. I swear by it on a Sunday when you're flagging. Forgo brekky and get that into you about midday. It'll see you over the finish line.

Tor Rugby Mexican is a grand local cause but overpriced even for a festival.

I do love the opportunity of a few slices of toast and a mug of tea in the morning mind, either at the Park or up Greenfields way.
