The biggest moment that will stay with me forever is my partner agreeing to marry me when I proposed at the stone circle last year.

during a particular bad trip the guy who took my axe off of me and then spent 4 hours sitting with me rolling J`s after he found me measuring how far up my arm to cut off and burn. (i had been laying on it and it had gone numb and my fire was burned out)

this was in 81 and i will be eternally grateful.

2008 was my second Glastonbury and the year it clicked for me. 2007 was great but I was on my own and it was a little damp. 2008 I joined the efests camp, met some amazing people, saw some awesome bands and had an ace time all round. And this song always takes me right back there.

Glastonbury 99 we were camped at the top of the hill overlooking the pyramid. It was about 1am and we were getting fed up with shouting "Bollocks" so we decided to shout out random comedy quotes instead. Quite a few other people took it up and soon we were all roaring with laughter. Then the magic happened. Some chap a couple of tents away started shouting bits of Monty Python and someone (lots of my friends claim to have been the someone) shouted out "You are all individuals" really loudly. What seemed like the whole campsite roared back "Yes! We are all individuals" and then silence. And from at least 50 tents away a small voice shouted "I'm not!". Perfect.

Last year was my first and remembering the moment on the wednesday sitting on the grass with the sun shining drinking a strawberry brothers with friends and thinking this is going to be a special weekend always brings a smile to my face. ROLL ON JUNE.

Reading this thread and also the American guy's blog and seeing his pictures the other week on here i think i'm going to take the plunge and break my Glasto cherry next year,regardless of line-up.

Probably going to be going it alone though as most of my festival friends have fallen by the way side as the years have gone by

The Friday last year, watching Neil Young and then just wandering about. Found the dirty boots disco then had a wonder around trash city, before we knew it it was half four in the morning so we managed to find a place in trash city that would serve us some beers then walked back to our tents. Ill never forget the looks on peoples faces who were just waking up to start the day, as it was about half five when we got back to our camp, pissing thereselves laughing at the states of us. One woman actually popped up from behind her tents brushing her teeth as we were passing, saw us and spit toothpaste all over her tent from laughing so hard, we must have looked f**ked.

Apart from that my mate Darren dragging me kicking and screaming to see Paulo Nutini and me absolutely loving it.

Bawling my eyes out during Blur's set ... the atmosphere was incredible, and i'm not even a huge Blur fan!

Crowded House trying to get the Security guys to turn around

Waiting at the Pyramid and the screens flashing backwards and forwards between a guy in an Elvis mask ( crowd yells "YAAAAAY") and one in a Bin Laden mask (crowd yells "BOOOOO!"). I wish someone had managed to get that on video!

8 hours doing smurf impressions round the campfire. Convinced ourselves we had halicinated a friend had gone into our tent who wasnt even at G. He actually was and was in a really bad mood in the morning! The we had not involved him....

Being with my favourite people on the planet at the stone circle right before the storm broke out on the Sunday evening. Also, watching Spinal Tap with a great person, drinking toffee apple cider in the sunshine.

Let's hope this year brings similar good times

My friend, who is disabled, and I were sitting on the disabled platform in front of the Pyramid stage on the friday late afternoon last year when my 17 year old son, whose first Glastonbury it was, and who had clearly been slipping and sliding in the mud and was covered from top to toe, turned up down the side of the platform and in a moment of silence between songs shouted out loud "MUM, WHERE ARE THE SHOWERS?" Classic!!

1999 - Hearing Underworld on the Pyramid soundsystem and thinking what a shame it was that they played anything but dance music through that stack.

Back in the 90s (I'm still not sure what year it was that I went ) walking down towards the Pyramid Stage as Tom Jones was on. We'd come for the 'cool' bands but listening to the crowd just eat him up, watching it, that made me realise how blummin' ridiculous, random and wonderful Glastonbury was

2008 - Having a bimble for the very first time on my own, drinking it all in, whilst trying to get lost (I didn't ..).

2008 - Dancing, laughing & singing in front of t'other stage watching Elbow.

2008 - Up at Stone's trying to grab a kip, whilst listening to Neil Diamond drifting up ... and being bollocked by my mate on text who was sat at home watching him on the box "Why the f*** are you sitting in a field having a kip when you could be watching Neil Diamond? He's brilliant!!"

2008 - Whilst having a final bimble around the site I stumbled upon Dirty Pretty Things, with Billy Bragg, at Leftfield ... an hour or so after this we left

2009 - Having a rather lovely snog on Wed night/Thurs morning, (my first - and last, ha!! - since splitting from my OH) up at Stones, a lovely way to start the weekend

2009 - Meeting a couple of young folk (18!!) at the e-fest footie match (it was their first Glastonbury), then randomly bumping into them an hour later! Poor souls looked too young to buy booze so I went to the bus for them, and then took them up to the top of the Stones, for the view (their first time). They were such a lovely bunch, it was really cool and refreshing to just spend a couple of hours with some young-uns, not worrying about anything, and introducing them to New Experiences

2009 ... It was a weird one last year. Went with my ex, and a handful of mates. Didn't really get into it as much as I wanted to after the first day.

2010 ... Cannot wait! I've passed my driving test (I'm a very late starter!), will be driving me and my mate Darren and my ex isnt going!!!! Let the fun begin ...

I think my favorite memory was from 08'. Im not sure though, they have all kinda blended into one in my drink addled mind!

I got split up from my mates n decided to go for a trek on my own. I ended up walking down a path off the train track n came to a woodland bit with loads of different interweaving paths. I decided to stop for a joint on a bench n got chatting to some dead cool old hippy guy. We smoked a couple of joints n he taught me how to play the spoons!

After a bit I left n then stumbled across the wish tree, I wished for 2 more wishes.

Glastonbury is the best place in the world. You can have the best times just wandering round on your own and finding your own fun. ROLL ON JUNE!!!!
