Muse Headlining Saturday

Looks like a great line up this year again. Can't wait to see Stevie. I didn't really like Muse until I saw them at Glasto 2004 and they blew my mind. They are absolutely brilliant live. It will be interesting to see if U2 can still pull off a stripped down gig. I haven't seen them since the ZooTV tour.

Their new album is absolutely gash, so hopefully they'll limit the material from that, but otherwise I think they're quite a good choice! Would've preferred Radiohead as i've seen Muse live before and not seen Radiohead, but still happy

Iron Maiden? Not exactly a new band but they are always releasing new material and still play to massive crowds all around the world and they are incredable live. If people got over their fear of they heavy metal (though they are not as 'heavy' as most people think) image I have no doubt they would go down a storm.

I'm not really a metal fan and knew next to nothing about them but my brother in law had a spare ticket to see them in Dublin a few years back so I tagged along and I was absolutely blown away. Great live band!!

I absolutely love Maiden but how many people at Glasto do think would actually know the words to any of their songs? Not many I'd wager.

But what I really want is see Sunn 0))) collaborate with Ricardo Villalobos and Richie Hawtin in a marathon six hour doom minimal mashup.

I'd even take Basement Jaxx over Muse.

You are not telling me that The Bends Era Radiohead would have been considered headliner material, they like Muse and Pulp had to step up to the plate sometime. And I reckon Hot Chip could step up to the plate.

They'd have trouble holding that plate at a fest one tenth the size of Glasto IMO.

TBH I had my heart set on a huge reunion set from like The Stone Roses or something.

I would watch U2 if there was a promise of the entire set being Pre-Joshua Tree and that Bono will promise not to start preaching. (which obviously will never happen)

I hate Muse

Stevie Wonder is good but I'd expect to see him on the Sunday afternoon veteran slot.

I wont be watching any of the Pyramid stage headliners this year

i absolutly cant stand muse. i dont get why they are so popular. Sure they are good at their instryments, but their music is just dull or not nice to listen to.i wont be at pyramid saturday night

looking on the upside! this news should ease the pressure a little on re-sale day for the ticketless folk on here! had it have been the stones or zeppelin, there almost certainly would have been a rush of people trying to get tickets solely to see one band.

I will watch Muse I think. Saw them in 04 at Glasto and in 07 at Wembley, and enjoyed both very much, so it seems I will keep up the 3 year pattern.

I also don't mind the new album. Ok, its not as strong as their previous stuff, but there are some great tunes on there.

I'm sure they said in an interview before Xmas that they had some 'grand plans' for the outdoor shows this summer - so we could be in for a treat.

I'm hoping for Daft Punk/Chem Bros/ Pixies on the Other Stage. Though I'm not getting my hopes up.
