you shouldn't get taxed any more. it'll just be the same. like if you usually pay £25 a week, it would probably be £50 which is right because you'll be getting twice as much money.

not sure what you mean, but getting paid more doesn't mean you'll get taxed any more than you normally would. do you know how much you usually pay? check how much you've been taxed when you get paid but it should be fine.

The £6475 allowance you get each year which you arent taxed on.

I get paid weekly so I dont pay tax on £125 of what I make each week. This week I'll get 2 weeks payments but only get one weeks allowance, so I would get taxed more. I think

Pretty sure thats what happened last time they f**ked my tax up

As long as you're on a cumulative code (usually 647L at the moment, with nothing after the L), the code will collect the correct amount of tax at the correct time. If you're paid weekly you'll get 1/52 of your personal allowance each week, any you don't use will get added to the following week's allowance, so it all sorts itself out as you're going along, It doesn't matter which week you receive the extra money in, because the following week will compensate and you'll pay the right tax that week to account for the total pay received to date.

Just left Miami, where all the tourist shops are selling (and a lot of people are wearing) T-shirts with the logo "I'm in Miami, Bitch", which is a reference to those awful awful Jersey Shore arseholes. So all these people are choosing to associate themselves with the f**kwits and hand over money for the privilege, looking like c**ts in the process. (not that Miami is short of those). But what really annoys me is that despite the fact I hate all these types of shows, avoid them like the plague, somehow these 'people' managed to seep into my brain so I knew the reference right away. c**ts.

    • I don’t think the festival automatically ‘need’ to have a female headliner if you have strong female headliners on the Other Stage (which I reckon will be Rosalia and Phoebe Bridgers), perhaps a female legend (praying for Annie, will take Cher), and a few female/mix gendered subs on the Pyramid (maybe London Grammar, The xx). From what I’ve seen of Sabrina, her team prioritises the pay day and I think she will be doing Wembley over Glasto weekend.   One thing I’ve noticed is a lot of the suggestions would be first time headliners and I can’t work out when the last time was that the festival had three artists top the bill that hadn’t topped it before? It seems to be something they like to do to make sure they have a ‘safe’ headliner that will land well with the masses. Plenty of names in that hat that could step back up next summer and should/could be about: Billie Eilish, Adele, Foo Fighters, The Cure, Radiohead, U2…hell, if Beyoncé is really planning to release a ‘rock n roll’ album to complete her Renaissance trilogy, Glastonbury would be a great place to ‘kick off’ that campaign for her.   And there’s always the Rihanna rumour. Her husband (I think) said this week she’s in the studio.
    • And all (or all but one) of the secret sets repeats though?
    • 1. Coming with my sister (our 4th Sziget together) 2. 3 days (Thursday-Saturday). Would rather do Tuesday-Thursday but not enough AL 😞 3. Wednesday evening  4. Apartment  5. FATM (will be my 10th Florence’s gig) 6. Parcels/Paris Paloma
    • Temperature was the main issue - luke warm at best
