Someone got stabbed around the corner from where i walk, apparently un-provoked attack with no motive, just a bloke (who does a bit for the community) walking back from his girlfriends house in the early hours of Saturday and someone goes and stabs him 15 times :(

When 5 minutes after I gave my manager my appraisal, which basically slams them for not giving me a chance to develop and not giving me the promised promotion, when the director stops me and says oh claire i want to talk to you tomorrow about your promotion!!!

So now i look like an ingrate!

Supposed to be having my appraisal (already pushed back twice) at 12, its now 12:30 and my boss at 12:07 asked if he could have 5 or 10 minutes with someone else first. Hmmm funny 5 or 10 minutes huh! God this companies ambivilance to its employees never fails to astound me.

when you wait in all day for the washing machine mechanic to turn up, and when he finally arrives just before the deadline

"whats the problem?"

"what I told the receptionist last week and you have written on your blackberry, its not taking the conditioner"

without even looking at it the machine

"oh you need a new valve, I'll have to order that in, it could be after christmas now I suspect"

30 seconds in and out

COCKS!!

If you're going to con an extra callout fee, at least have a look in the machine, stick you fingers in something, poke around a bit. f**king idiots.

    • It would be piss-easy for a bot to manage, though.
    • I've heard that ticket sales for other events that use the same system have included the question 'are you still there?' on each window/browser you have with a place in the queue. If you don't confirm you are, it'll assume you're not and that place will drop.   I've no idea if Glasto/See will adopt this, but it would be challenging to keep on top of with many windows open.
    • People who're struggling are already priced out, so I don't think a bump in price will affect who attends. There'll still be a cross section, leaning young. I also think they'll do a soft breaking of the £400 ceiling, keeping the ticket price just below but having postage take it over. Next year the ticket itself will be over that threshold.

    • Not sure if this has been mentioned but new La Roux album out November - was meant to play in 2020 but hasn't found her way back onto a lineup. If any excuse just to hear this absolute banger on the fields next year!
