The more I think about it, the harder it is to comprehend that Glasto could possibly pull off 3 better headline acts than they had for 2009! (this is personal opinion, of course). Neil Young is a living legend, and his set was fantastic. Bruce Springsteen (not my cup of tea, so was elsewhere when he was on) was a major (and exclusive?) coup for the festival. Then we had Blur, who at the time of announcement I wasn't overly fussed about - but that Sunday night closing set was top draw & very entertaining..

Same here. At the very least it seems we'll get Plant but I think the whole business of him not saying who he's playing with etc lends a slight bit of credibility. It would be a major coup for the festival and hopefully it would be as brilliant as I imagine it to be.

If Led Zep supposedly inspired Michael E. to organise the first Glastonbury, then performing at the 40th would dovetail nicely.

It also might tie in with the Foos playing... if that 'farmhouse meeting' they supposedly had with the Eavises is true - the Foo's have been on the rumours list for a loooong time, as long as Dylan.

So my prediction would be Muse, Foo Fighters and Led Zepp, with Elbow and Bob Dylan playing sunset slots.

But of course it's all armchair detective work!

I am not a huge Zep fan , but I thought that Percy had said Zep were dead and buried and the hunt

for another singer had nailed the coffin.

Also Dave Grohl said that apart from a few shows soon to support the release of their greatest hits

he had no idea when the Foo's would get back together , and he does have TCV to keep him busy. With

Glasto usually having the headliners nailed by Xmas I cannot see The Foo's being ready.

I don't always believe these 'we'll never reform' rumours... there's always the possibility that something could sway them to reform. It's happened with other bands in the past.

I also thought that Dave Grohl had a 'farm meeting' a while back with the Eavises? I'm sure the Eavises look to book at least some of the bands quite a while in advance, and the Foo Fighters rumour was one of the first up on eFests rumours page.

Like I said, it's all armchair detective work - but fun piecing the bits together!
