if you're a festival promoter you'd have to be properly barking to book his bobness. He's such an acquired taste live these days, and although he's a huge huge name, people are plenty wary of his unpredictability and his habit of playing utterly unrecogniseable versions of his songs.

one of the first big, proper gigs I went to was Dylan on the Oh Mercy tour, in 89. Fantastic stuff, supposedly his best gigs in donkeys years, but it still took me to the second time round of the chorus to work out what song he was attempting

also saw him at the Fleadh thing in finsbury park 5 or 6 years ago, less said about that the better.
