Bon Jovi to headline?

I scoffed at the thought of Spinal Tap playing Glasto this year and somehow I ended up watching them, thought they were ace.

I'm not a huge fan of Bon Jovi but it would be a laugh to see them play in the sunshine with some cider.

I've said earlier on i like Bon jovi and I'm not female, look beyond the 80's stuff (not that there is anything wrong with livin on a prayer, everybody knows it and it'd be a great sing a long as would you give love a bad name!) and you'll see many grat rock songs! It's just like judging billy Joel on his 80's material (uptown girl, tell her about it etc) I can only hope people here are bright enough to know he is much than that as are Bon jovii of this 'cheesy crap', get on YouTube and search for keep the faith, I believe, dry county, something to believe in and these days etc and you'll see another side to them, I can see this dividing the board again like Bruce (but more more so!)

And being a big Bon jovi fan i can say there is no way jon Bon jovi would settle for anything less than a headline slot at glastonbury, no way :)

This is true, but I think it's a bot of a red herring, there's a limited amount of money for bands, and every band that gets booked (and costs a fair bit of cash as I Imagine bon jovi would) means there's less money and slots available for bands I like. So I reckon it's perfectly appropriate to say if you like something is shit and shouldn't happen. It's not just about stages, it's also about resources.

As someone else said, they're not really the Eavis' thing. Can't see either Michael or Emily being a fan. The only slot I could see them getting would be a lunchtime "get things started" Pyramid - but even that's stretchy. They've not really reached the ironic-cheese status of Status Quo or Bjorn Again.

Overall, v.v.unlikely I think even in a low slot.
