The Park 2010

Who and what would people like to see up at The Park next year?

Personally, I loved The Park - only went to see The Dead Weather but spent enough time up there. I think Fever Ray would make a brilliant Park stage headliner, hoping for Thombola (or whatever the proper name) make an appearance up there as well as I think it'd be the perfect stage for a surprise appearance by them. Something else very unexpected like Black Box Recorder would be class too - and I think they reunited for a gig in 2007 or 2008 - who knows, they might be up for it?

Hope that The Park doesn't change too much for next year, think it's going to turn out to be unmissable as it gets a few more years behind it.

I really, really hope I Am Kloot play next year and think The Park would be a decent venue for them.

Also, get Tunng back there. Their set in 2008 was cut short due to the previous act overruning so they deserve another go!

Oh, and I'd love to see Willy Mason there again.

There's loadsa bands who i think would work a treat on The Park Stage: Band of Horses and Grizzly Bear being two of them.

It's rapidly becoming my favourite area of the festival. Spent lots of quality time in the treehouse cafe last year and Animal Collective & Bon Iver were probably my two favourite sets at Glasto 2009.

The Low Anthem were f**king amazing at the park this year, really blew me away

The Rockingbirds were also fantastic, me and a dozen other middle aged men getting all lost in emotion for our youths.

Love the Park area, probably my favourite bit of the whole site.

Funny but we probably spent more time at the Park than anywhere else, just because we ended up camping just inside Dairy Ground close to Pennards so it was close. Really liked it. The Park stage is just big enough without being too big and I like the natural ampitheatre it has. Easy Star AllStars and Hot Rats were great. BBC Introducing tent was good too, caught some great acts in there.

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
