What is wrong with you people. Snap out of it. This is no trap. Its the weather we've been working so hard to create. Our sacrifices are making the rain gods happy and they are rewarding us.

Think she figured it out fairly quickly as she sat huddled in the car high in the Lakes watching me stood on a rock revelling in what the weather was throwing at us. If you need a sacrifice to the weather gods, I'm your man. :D

I like your style. We all need to make sacrifices here people!

And so, my fellow Weather-thread-lurkers: ask not what the weather can do for you - ask what you can do for the weather.

My fellow citizens of Glastonbury festival: ask not what Weather-thread-lurkers will do for you, but what together we can do for Glastonbury to be scorchio.

Finally, whether you are citizens of the weather thread or citizens of Glastonbury festival, ask of us the same high standards of no r**n and no compromise which we ask of you. With good weather our only sure reward, with JackOne the final judge of our deeds, let us go forth to lead the festival we love, asking its blessing and its help, but knowing that here on earth the work of making the weather fantastic must truly be our own.

+1

I too will sacrifice. I'm going to Wales in July, I am happy to take torrential rain for that one - to the extent I am happy to buy a 4X4 in order to get around the raging torrents of mud at the showground. This, comrades, I am doing for you, for the country and for a DRY GLASTONBURY!

    • TOP 10 acts (top 5 in bold😞   Blood Orange (ciutat)   Guitarricadelafuente   Oklou - Looks like I'm capable of enjoying music in the rain after all, just not the whole night.   Rilo Kiley   The Cure   Jade   Depresión Sonora   Gelli Haha (Parc del Forum) - Her music never really clicked with me. Until I saw her live.   MARINA   Six Sex (ciutat) - I was shocked how supersmall the venue was and that almost everyone (except for me) knew every word of every song (including the ones that were released this weekend!).   Honorable mention:   Ashnikko - missed the first 15 minutes (because of Gelli Haha) and I'm not really a fan of her music, but the show was an absolute blast.
    • Totally agree about PinkPantheress stage choice. 'Luckily' for me, one of my main targets, fakemink, was absolutely awful, meaning that I left early and was in a surprisingly good spot at Cupra before it got totally packed.
    • As many said before, not my favourite Primavera. sh*tty weather is something I'm not really used to when enjoying music. Poor communication (more than 1 hour long radio silence during the worst rain) didn't help, but the main problem was me. I decided to leave the venue after things seemed to be getting back to normal. Massive Attack were supposed to play again (with Hymn of the Big Wheel back on the setlist!) as were all other artists on the smaller stages (including Fcukers with one my favourite albums of the year). FOMO was at an all-time high. However, after 4 hours in the rain, I had to admit to myself that I'm not cut out for this. I wasn't even that soaked (water-proof jacket worked). I was just fed up with the rain, wind and cold and wasn't able to enjoy music anymore.   Also, they should stop ignoring the growth of some artists between signing them up and their actual performance. Both PinkPantheress and Ninajirachi sets were ruined for me by completely inadequate stage choice.   However, I felt very much the same way after the 2022 edition and have thoroughly enjoyed all subsequent editions. So I'm still buying early bird tickets for 2027 and hoping this was a hiccup not the start of a downward trend.
    • I will definitely be buying a 2027 early bird pass, partially because of the priority reservation privileges for the Ciutat sets. Hopefully the organization will take action to improve upon this year's failings. Because I thought the free water options and sound quality were an improvement over last year, so clearly they can actually implement positive changes.   I also hope all the douchebag chompers get in the sea, cause I was more bothered by them than in the past few years.   Highlights: The Cure, Ninajirachi, Knocked Loose, Current 93, Blood Orange.
    • Similar feelings to a few others on here. Not my personal favourite edition but a long way from giving up on it. Felt overcrowded at times and there are just too many people there that don't seem to like music that much! Hardly went to main stages which was the plan. Highlights Ralphie Choo, rusowsky, Gorillaz, Geese, Gelli Haha, The Sophs, PinkPantheress, Dijon. Accommodation booked for next year. Thanks for your company and comments over the past year.
