I think I will

Camp in Pennards again (like in 08) after camping at the awful out of the way, Dairy Grounds

Preferably camp in a small group of just close friends (like in 08)

Experiment more

Not spend all of Sunday at Camp missing the bulk of the acts I wanted to see

Find a more efficient way of getting there early (made the journey to Bristol Tuesday then, got the first coach out of Bristol at 10, didn't not get there till 8...never again)

Actually sleep the Tuesday night, instead of wandering around Bristol

Spend more time in Shangri-la (possibly start drinking later/sleep more so I'm not exhausted early)

If you'd asked me that question last year wouldn't have changed anything but 09 had it's flaws

gonna hide all the balloons from the laughing gas boys, ruined my early morning trip to the stones. Sounded like everyone was shushing me. SHHHH!

Explore the nightlife more - don't go back to the tent straight after the last bands.

Stay up and see the sunrise over the Stone Circle.

Avoid the 14 hour coach journey of last year (10 hours for the last 10 miles!) by going down the night before by car and staying in a B&B.

Already got a new, bigger tent.

Not a lot else really.

  • 2 weeks later...

Leave on tuesday night, instead of 3.am wednesday morning then getting a flat tyre on the m6 and hitting 16 hours with of traffic!!!! arriving 11pm wednesday night, can anyone still believe that ?!?!?!

Take less stuff! took a crate of heinikan that frothed up in the boot and was worthless, we stuck a speer through it and danced around it like native glasto fiends though

commit only to a few acts on the main stage, i stood up for 9 hours for both neil young and springsteen to make sure i was at the front, and by sunday i was fooked, took the knock in arcadia in the day time, exhaustion central!

explore more chilled out aspects, maybe its true, its not ALL about the music!!

  • Take a lightweight olding chair/stool - 24 hours on your feet is a long time

  • Take more cider - The prices charged at the overcrowded bars is nutz

  • Spend more time at the smaller stages

  • Spend less time at the larger stages - tooooo crowded

  • Try to get on-site earlier than 1000 on Wednesday

  • Buy some house size plastic boxes to bolt onto my 'mutts nuts' sack truck to make the trek from car to camp even easier

  • Take ear plugs in case somebody famous dies and the man in the tent 10cm from my head decides to repeat '<insert name> has died, <insert same name> has died,............' all night long

  • Leave after 0200 on Monday AM - I left at 0200 this year and it took me about 20 minutes to get out - I don't do queues

I don't know really. Last year was the best glastonbury I have been to, so probably just like that but a little different.

Last year's headliners were incredible, but the name's this year don't fill with the same child like glee, so hopefully that means slightly different headliner experiences/late night shennanigans.

I need to work out my carrying system. Still end up wth too much in my hands. Maybe a radical booze and food in rucksack and clothes in ikea bag in a complete reversal of exisitng policy? It's pretty x factor

Well my dad is an agent for a welly company in somerset and they work with Glastonbury so the manager said they might get us backstage passes! Obviously I wont use them that much but it'll be nice to have clean toilets and less of a walking distance from the other stage to the pyramid etc.

  • Spend more time in Shangri-la /Trash City. (This can only be achieved by missing a headliner and getting there early.

  • Stay up and see the sunrise over the Stone Circle. (Will be fourth Glastonbury on the spin still not managed it).

  • Stay in s B&B Tuesday night. (Have had this booked since before ticket day, only way to get a decent one).

  • Camp somewhere else. (After two years in Big Ground which was great time, flushing porcelain toilets, time for a change Park Home Ground maybe).

  • Try not to buy another tent. (I have three tents now, bought one each of the previous three years, one of them is a tipi for Christs sake).

  • Buy a new flag for the campsite. (Some fecker nicked the orange windsocks and 6 metre pole at Bestival.

  • Take less cider more woo-woo.

  • Eat more pizza from the stone oven pizza place in the green fields. (Especially if the ginger fantasy women is there serving again).

  • Find the growler store and eat one.

and finally...

  • Take my dog into the arena

Try not to get to F**ked up on the Friday so missing the first few hours on the Saturday!

Try to see more of the Jazz World, Trash city, Arcadia side of the fest. We were camped out by Park ground and usually frequented the big stages.

Catch more in the JP

Camp in Kidney Mead this year and catch more acts in the Queens Head, that side again.

Not leave at 6pm on the Sunday because of work next day! Missed Blur! :P , so i have taken the whole three days followed by the Monday off well in advance , first time last year .

Leave at 4am on the Wednesday Morning from London.

5 of us this year....take more cans..although i do prefer a cold one.

make no attempt to do anything healthy, a bowl of garies and tequila for breakfast instead of a lemonade and a crepe. If I'm to have any of that patented squeezed lemo it will be with a healthy amount of vodka. I won't rule out the odd swig of water or munchy food just to stay alive though.

Drink more spirits

Go to shangrila/trash city

Spend time in circus field

visit comedy tent

Have a resolute determination to remain the very wrong side of sober throughout.

This will be my 2nd Glasto and think I am same as most people - try to stay up later to see more of the late night stuff and see more of the rest of Glasto rather than sticking with the main stages. Also don't bother taking pot noodles or any other crap like that as the food at Glasto is awsome!

    • Hi Everyone!   I need your help. I'm trying work out who was playing at The Wishing Well at 3am on the Monday morning at the 2025 festival - this was once the official setlist had ended. The music was down tempo, bass heavy, kept evolving, just mesmerising. Anyone have any ideas? and/or was there as well?
