not happy about this as if i miss them I'll be gutted. They do lie though, they were suppose to be no more after 2004. I remember popping my head to the Dr Who theme in bristol and it was bloody amazing.

Calm down guys, it's not very likely is it, especially in Dada, it would be irresponsible of them to put someone like Orbital on there. Deep breaths everyone. Huw Stephens is lovely but I'm sure it must have been a slip - if he knows then lots of people know, and it would have got out.

its too early in the 'comeback' and they'd want to do something special when they play again [refer their glasto dvd] and some backward stage as a secret gig simply isnt that. they'll do 2010 and steal the show with new material and a light show to remember for ever

i'd be amazed if they weren't there enoying it as punters [hence gap in schedule] and being brutally honest i dont think they are ready for it. saw them last thursday and, as LL says, the visuals were very basic and it felt liek they were lowering themselves back into the groove slowly

i'd rather see them pushing more boundaries next year with new material and a new concept rather than a corporate [sell out?] regurgetation of their previous work

cant wait to be proved wrong but it simply doesnt feel right.. FBS needs his ego stroking so its bound to be him imho

I was just making my tea in the kitchen, and Huw Edwards (?) was talking about Orbital playing Rockness last weekend, then he went on to say that they are doing Sonar, then he said

'and of course Glastonbury'

hmmm mmmmmmmm

what ya think, just a slip of the tongue as that's the next big festival in the UK, or does he know something we don't!!!!!!

the BBC - and particularly it's DJs - have a long history of getting stuff like this wrong. I reckon it's the case that, because a band is playing some festivals, they assume them to also be playing Glasto, "cos every band plays at Glasto".

All of the evidence - and some of very strong - points to Orbital not being at Glastonbury this year.

Having said that, they could be I guess. But I really don't think so.
