People that have never played

As a couple of people here have mentioned them, I'd love it if Rob, Liz & Simon could bury the hatchet and get the Cocteau Twins back together. There was talk a few years back of them playing Coachella which I was in the process of selling everything I had to go to before they pulled out.

The Butthole Surfers would be good (John Peel Stage IMO)... as long as they only played the old stuff :-)

The Slits should play up in the Avalon or the Greenfields (they're playing Offset Festival in Sept).

And more old Motown./Soul stars as well, befoe they all eventually suffle off this mortal coil (no Cocteau Twins pun intended). If we can get half these people to play at Northern Soul All-Nighters then they surely we can get them to play Glastonbury. Shame Edwin Starr is no longer with us, he'd have gone down a storm.

Mungo Jerry!!!!

I am pro-actively campaigning for them to play next year /index.php?showtopic=127666">http://www.efestivals.co.uk/forums/index.p...howtopic=127666

3 significant reasons 1. Its my 40th :O 2. Its Glastonbury's 40th 3. 40 years ago next June, In the summer of 1970 the hit of the year, No1 for 7 weeks(and the day I was born) during most of June & July was "In The Summertime"

So what better way to start the 40th celebrations next year than with the band that was No1 40 years ago playing, lets face it a classic tune....Kazoo's at the ready!!!!!

I am seriously trying to put the wheels in motion, have been in email contact with their manager and they are alive and well and think it a great idea also. I now have a meeting tomorrow with a friend of a mates cousins sisters nephews brothers uncle  who is highly connected within the festival and a begging letter ready to go to Michael & Emily Eavis once this guy agrees its a good idea and feasible.

If not I gonna have some 40th anyway.....

Any guarantee of a ticket anyone :)

Some good ones there boys & girls.

This may seem obvious (and I'm now thinking they must have played before but I don't think they have) but I can't believe no has mentioned The Beastie Boys or Rage Against The Machine. I'd probably die of excitement if either of them were scheduled.

The Knife, or Fever Ray as half of them are operating, although I'd prefer just the original The Knife... although I would get tired of hearing 'oh they're covering that Jose Gonzalez track' like I heard when I saw them last arrrrrrgh heathens!! lol
