Watched Drive tonight. Wasn't expecting much but it was excellent. I thought it would be a generic action movie but it's so much more, great acting from Gosling and it's all very well filmed. I thought the soundtrack added alot to it as well. One of the best films I've sen in a while.

I want to see tyrannosaur so badly, it almost hurts.

what really hurts is that once again - the nearest cinema to me that is showing it is 50 fucking miles away. I bet I can choose from about 10 different screens for the latest hollywood tosh.

saw Melancholia last night

though for some reason i thought it was the new John Carter film coming when i got there, got a wire crossed somewhere...

amazing film, really well acted, beautifully shot, made me realise how lucky i am to have escaped a relationship with a self destructive girl!

and you get to see kirsten dunst naked

was odd having Jack Bauer in it, the first half he just IS Jack and i between expecting him to start shooting people and thinking that characters were aliens or something due to my mix up of planet hopping sci fi films i probably didnt appreciate the first half in the way i was supposed to :P

Just watched The Killer Inside Me. A decent film and Casey Affleck was amazing but I just didn't enjoy it that much.

It felt like one of the missions on LA Noire.

I fucking hate that game.

Wowww soo surprised by Crazy Stupid Love, amazing movie. Was expecting it to be some crappy generic rom com (the trailers didn't help much), turned out to be (imo) one of the best 'rom coms' of the last decade. Steve Carell is brilliant in this, a must watch. :D

Just watched "Sucker Punch". I honestly can't decide whether it really is a load of old pants or it is a cult classic. I like the premise of the story, and some of the fight scenes are pretty good, but it just felt something was missing. Maybe just a decent plot.

    • 👍 plus they brought their own screens 📺 either side of the stage.
    • Production was the only thing that could even explain why she would back out. Like they had sorted out the financials and she was fine with it and then a production meeting happened. It all fell apart. It was very clear that she was not going to compromise her show one bit and then that show in Brazil pretty much confirmed it. There was like one element they couldnt pull off outdoors, but it was negligible since the rest was a carbon copy of the tour she had been on. Glasto is not willing to make any bold changes on the Pyramid stage so then theyre kinda stuck in terms of what some acts want/demand. I think the easiest solution to that is putting her on Friday. You deal with the changes for one night and then re configure for the rest of the weekend. In 24 they were fortunate to have had Dua and Coldplay on Fri and Sat so they could both use the b stage. But I think it was removed for Sunday?     I saw a random rag article earlier that said Olivia Dean turned down Glasto BECAUSE her ex ( not even confirmed dating ) Harry Styles was playing the fest. hahahaha
    • No argument that he’s bigger than ever, I just have no enthusiasm for it.
    • Keep in mind those crowds were full of teenagers. Glasto aint full of teenagers. Theres no way she could demand headline and get it because they got other acts to give the slot to who deserve it with a bigger catalog. Reading/Leeds would headline her cause its still LN.  If the fest was struggling its Other headline. But a 3rd down Pyramid is likely the landing spot. Itll go down like the Camila Cabello performance pretty much.
