  1. Past hour
  2. Yes, I have. I just email on the original pdf ticket. Of course there's a risk of being asked for ID but I've been told they're not strict on this

    Glastocam!

Great thunder and lightning show here in Wookey last night.
  4. Yes, a rare occurrence it’s sunny and warm, hopefully Somerset dries out in the next few weeks, sure it will.
  5. Has anyone successfully gifted tickets? I can't go tonight to a boogie wit da hoodie so was gonna gift to niece but they say non transferrable and to have ID or maybe refused entry ?
  6. of course your vote will make a difference, a teenyweeny difference.
  7. Yeah for Avon and Somerset
  8. Yeah there was no terms and conditions which is why I questioned it. Hopefully it was legit and someone wins!
  9. This is so cheap and bad. How much cost do these stage require? Maybe the sum of the cheapest Main Stage artist..? Maybe. What can we expect at this point? I imagine visual installations will be sh*t either.
  10. I’ve only got the police and crime thing to vote for … excuse my ignorance but does that really make any difference if I vote or not ? Likely I will anyway
  11. Yes Burnham will walk it, and Manchester council will continue to be dominated by Labour, and so yes sign theory will likely be baseless over all...just saying what I see. You wouldn't know there was any election on at all around here, muslim households are not supporting Labour, at least not as visibly as they have in the past, and in usual Tory areas people are not supporting Tory, again not visibly.
  12. thanks - registered years ago but not needed it until now!
  13. United won't get 5th, if anyone newcastle would be the team challenging spurs for 5th. United haven't beat anyone outside the bottom 6 since start of February, that isn't going to suddenly change. Can see us finishing 7th, conference league is beckoning when we lose the cup final.

    Glastocam!

I feel very fortunate to have the Tor on my doorstep although you can never guarantee this level of awe - I went up on monday evening and I could barely stand up in the wind!

    Glastocam!

Much nicer where you are apparently.
  16. Only 50% … just not high enough 😀

    Glastocam!

It was absolutely vile last night - proper thunderstorm and rained from early evening to well.. it's still raining but not quite as hard. My positivity is waning.

we can conclude that your analysis isn't very good, because there's more than the number of party posters to arrive at a conclusion.
  19. @squirrelarmyhas recommended this one before as it's got massive capacity https://www.blacks.co.uk/15979411/eurohike-nepal-85l-rucksack-15979411
  20. I saw Pillow Queens at Tempelhof Sounds festival in Berlin in 2022 and they were ace. Not really kept track of them since but recognised the name yesterday. Definitely worth a watch. There’s quite a bit of crossover between that lineup and this years Glasto actually. Pillow Queens, Bow Anderson, Baby Queen, Teo Door Cinema Club, IDLES, Sleaford Mods, Fontaines DC.

  22. Yes in that Glastonbury doesn't pay as much so other European bands probably need to be paid more to cover the cost of the visas etc which Irish artists don't need. I also think Irish artists are probably a cheaper option for European festivals as they also don't have to pay for visas etc to go there hence why I said they are probably the main beneficiaries of Brexit. There's obviously a few other things that feed into it as well as I know the Irish government were trialing a form of universal income for artists but it can't be a coincidence that Irish music is having such a great time at the moment.

Brexit has had a clear impact on the ability of bands to travel between the UK and EU seamlessly and this has had a negative impact on UK acts being able to tour Europe. I imagine the converse is it's made the UK more awkward for acts from the rest of the world too: https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2023/aug/22/music-industry-workers-no-work-in-eu-since-brexit
