Well I will stick up for the humble spud amongst all the sniggering in this thread. Jacket potatoes are a great meal for vegetarians for a start.

Can anyone recommend somewhere where they do a plain cheese sandwich, preferably on slightly stale bread with a thin spreading of value butter?

Yes, exactly that.  I'd be especially pleased if, while the colour was orange there was no flavour reminiscent of any fruit known to man, served tepid please.

Is the cheese truck that place where they clamp a big wheel of cheese next to a grill and knife it off melted onto your chosen meal? I don't know if I've imagined that or not.
