Glastonlocal
Yes, I sometimes get bottle from the supermarkets, but sorry, I should have been clearer, I meant farm types which are sweeter than the ones I got last year (and you've answered that, thanks). Well, there's no harm in trying more types on the way down then (obviously when I'm parked up). I'd quite happily drink any type of cider tbh bud, even the dreaded magners, but 'real' scrumpy cider is the proper job for me. I often hear people remark that the "medium sweet" cider at the cider bus is actually very dry. Which, if you're used to drinking commercially produced cider, it will taste so. But its all relative because a proper dry cider can make you gurn your gums off. If you do get down to wilkins', have a good one fella! It's a great place and a proper sight of the old westcountry. The Other Steve
6 cans of beer each day for me and I share a red wine box with one of my mates each evening then usually end with a couple of hot and spicy ciders :-)
Girlwiththemostcake
I've still got almost a full bottle of Bacardi left over from last year, decanted into a plastic Volvic bottle. Do you think it will taste of plastic now or be okay? I expect we'll also be taking Punk IPA and Dead Pony Club, same as last year. The Dead Pony wasn't too bad a bit warm either. Do you think it will taste of plastic now or be okay? hmmm the plastic probably will have reacted with it a bit / it'll be a bit chemically. i probably wouldn't risk it because if you end up getting sick from it (or something - not sure what it'd actually do) that'll be your festival ruined
toppo
Bought a very nice bottle of Liverpool Gin other day hoping to resist urge to drink before the festival
rischbrit
Is brothers festival cider still sold in cans? I can't find it anywhere unless its in glass bottles Nor me. Plenty of strawberry ones but I prefer festival. I have emailed brothers and they said their official stockist is tesco yet none there! They did give me the option of buying some direct from them.....but...... It would mean nipping into their office in Shepton which is 3 hrs drive each way for me!!! Pbird81
As someone who loves an ice-cold lager (worried Camra will set their gryffins on me...), what do people recommend as good canned beer to drink warm-ish? Am very tempted by the flavoured vodka experiments... Rhubarb and custard ftw

Rhubarb and custard ftw Guiness & Newcastle Ale But they aren't larger, the issue is larger does not taste good warm no matter which brand you pick. kaytee...
Anyone know of any radler type drinks that are sold in cans instead of bottles over here? Only ever seen those in Poland. Not the most alcoholic of drinks but they don't taste as bad warm compared to standard beer Edited May 4, 2014 by kaytee...

coma girl
I took Guinness last year and it wasn't that nice when it was really warm but it made a change from drinking cans if warm lager.
