Isn't Earls Court 19k capacity? I can't really see them selling that out tbh, I'm probably gonna go see them in Manchester at Warhouse Project an that's not sold out, but that's an 18+ show so I'm guessing half the RnL crowd are too you for that haha. However I can't really see them sub again unless their album really flopped.

I think Jack Whites a good shout for a sub, it wouldn't really be questioned purely because of who he is. He could play before Biffy instead Qotsa who I think might try to headline download/Soni next year. Noel Gallagher is possible for a sub spot I think after subbing V. Then if Mumfords album is anywhere near as big as their last they could sub, and would be a real draw after avoiding most festivals this year

Very unlikely imo, Queens don't like being labeled a metal band is probably the reason they have never played Download & Soni.

I wouldn't say so sure but I've read interviews with Homme and he really doesn't like Queens being called a metal band.

I wouldn't rule them out completely based on that statement (TCV played in 2010 for example).

Maybe so. Just don't write it off is all. There are quite a few rock bands that haven't played there for reason or another. I think of they got offered a headline spot at Download they would probably take it or a at least give it some serious thought I doubt they are that concerned about identity of the festival and themselves.

Maybe the likes of QOTSA and Foos ahave never played as every time they're around they think it's a better option to play the more mainstream festivals, either to avoid being pigeonholed or to maximise exposure.

I can't see Flaming Lips playing at all but if they were I would of thought NME headliner be more likely than sub.

Yeah that's probably a good shout tbh. I'm struggling to think of a sub that would fit under Mumfords...perhaps it'd be more likely that they'd sub the Killers, share them with TITP.

I was listening to a bit of Black Flag earlier and thinking about how great it would be if they reunited. Then I randomly wondered where they'd play at Reading and Leeds if they were to.

Obviously not gonna happen. But if they did, surely they'd have to sub?
