I'm pretty certain the 'other things may have been taken' to lose inhibitions in the 80's/early 90's rave scene!

Dealing with drunk people is about as annoying as dealing with stoned people - either way i have a window of tolerance that shuts really quickly when people start bleating on about being out of their heads, maaaan . . . .

I got fully into e's and trips and all that nonsense in late 80s acid house thing and before that I had been a bit of a young lager lout, gave up the booze for a while thinking this is the new me and then needed something to take the edge of the increasing paranoia and back came the booze...and over time the quantity of pills and powders consumed decreased, but the booze stayed a constant. Cheers.

Interestingly data from government and police agencies in recent years shows that pills and powder containing MDMA are at their purest and highest strength. I can back this up, the last lot I bought (last year) was the best I have ever taken

Depends on the drug of choice of how much of nuisance someone will be. I’ve seen great places go downhill quickly when things moved away from E to Coke and spice and all that

That's nice...and very occasionally I indulge as a few of my friends are raving through their midlife crisis...but I don't know, too much dramarama at 5am that I just can't be dealing with anymore...prefer a few beers and a letch and maybe a fight and make everyone laugh with my hilarious jokes (or actually just a few beers).

Erdinger 0% weissbier was the can in perhaps 40% of the bars, certainly in the majority of staff bars, and is a proper thirst quencher - there's a growing movement in Germany about using specifically weissbier as an isotonic recovery drink, and if its below about 2.5% its still net beneficial in terms of fluid replacement.

 

Which i think is particularly magnificent! I MUST have this beer, because it is for my recovery, y'see - professional medical advice has deemed it thus

I'm gutted, Wiessbier makes me want to puke my guts up.

Another one to keep an eye open for.  My last memories of weissbier was the Hoegaarden they used to sell in our sports bar at uni, although using it for turboshandies probably adulterated the flavour a bit! Don't think tesco stock it but looks like waitrose do, might stick my head in next time I'm in town.

 

The 0% surge is reminding me a lot of the growth in gluten/dairy free food options for Mrs Q over the last 15-20 years.  Gone from very niche and unpopular to the manufacturers all realising there's money to be made and a growing market.  Life changing for those that need it and a huge bonus for the rest of us that just like the option!

The Erdinger is a pretty good replica of the non AF. Awesome to hear it has additional properties!
