John Fogerty was great on the pyramid last year. Some great Creedence Clearwater Revival memories for me.

He has the air of the mid 20th century stage working showman, it works really well on stage, if he did a UB40 Labour of love style cover album it would smash sales.  I don't follow the personal lives of celebrities to the extent that I have an opinion on his character myself.

I thought he already did a crooning covers album donkeys ago, is that not where the bizarre nicole kidman duet number 1 came from.

 

Like it or not he has loads of hits and while it may well be true that he's a wally, I think it's a stretch to say it was all down to Guy Chambers.  Chambers doesn't seem to have had equivalent sized hits with anyone else.

He could genuinely have been a candidate for 2026 had there been a festival. He wont be on tour next year sadly.

David Byrne’s obviously got a few hits to play, but he’s not cheesy enough for the Legend Slot. Other headliner perhaps?
