Green Man 2026

Just been to see Dove Ellis in Dublin. Oof! Fantastic gig. He's worth the hype, incredible voice, great set of songs, band (including I think the bassist/fiddler from Mary in the Junkyard?), a falsetto Prince would be proud of....yeah, I was very wary of the buzz but he's the real.deal, still finding his feet but massive potential. Get him on your Clashfinder!

Anyone been through the tixel reselling process ? I just got an email about 2 tickets even though I have auto-purchase set up for two tickets? Clicked on the email instantly and went through the process but someone else had bought the tickets by the time I went to complete payment. So not sure the point of the auto purchase. Or the waitlist for that matter if multiple people get sent the same email and compete for the same tickets?

It's a mess, and all of my gang are royally annoyed that GM moved away from Twickets. Yes, you had to be alert to tickets coming up, but at least you felt that vigilance could be rewarded.

As far as I can see, auto-purchase just means that, should you get an alert, you have the opportunity to purchase without entering any payment details. But, add to that this seemingly ridiculous scenario whereby only a 'proportion' of those on the waiting list are 'randomly' selected to receive the alert, and it's less than a straightforward lottery. In all, rubbish!

That makes some sense based on my limited experience of getting emails from them. I was successful with twickets without too much trouble. As you say, it rewarded vigilance which often meant if you really really wanted to go you could make it work.

Tixel auto-purchase worked really well for me. I just got an email saying I had got the tickets I requested. No need to click through or anything like that.

I don't know when you joined the waitlist, but I suspect (although can't be sure) that the auto-purchases are being done in order of the waitlist (I say this because friends and I who joined the waitlist at the same time on ticket release morning all got our auto-purchases fulfilled in the same few days).

My first time to the festival this year! Does anyone know if the festival has a shop on site? We'll be getting the train and shuttle bus so usually like to save on weight by buying our soft drinks at the festival shop if there's one available 🙂

I can see one on the map but it looks like it might be in the arena (not that it matters if it also sells soft drinks and allows us to take them out to the camp site lol)

There is a shop on site and in the arena area between the Far Out and where the cinema stage is there’s a festival shop which sells snacks and drinks. From memory last year it was about £2.50 for a can of pop.

The Beths have been taken off the line-up page and both of the European festivals they were playing while over have announced they've pulled out for "personal reasons".

In other news, Tall Child won GM Rising and will open Friday Mountain.

Gah 😖. Reeeeally hope they're able to make Green Man. They're firmly on the must-see list.

Hopefully stage splits soon now the rising comp is over.

@SweepingTheNation's post from a couple of weeks ago had day splits on 7 July last year. I think they've been pretty much the same with announcement timings this year, so, I fear we may have a month or so to wait yet ☹️.

Ah that's a big shame about The Beths. Was excited to see them for the first time since the last time they played Green Man, which is some time ago now - 2019 I think?

If they had three European dates announced and have cancelled two they absolutely aren't fulfilling the other one.

However, Friko (who pulled out last year) have today put out a graphic for their rest of the year dates including the Thursday of GM.

Was fuming when Friko pulled out. That would be a huge bonus.

If Friko are replacing The Beths that's a very rare example of a band being replaced by another band who I'm equally eager to see. Great news.

    • My understanding is that the queues returning back to the UK will be much worse (up to two hours) but the queue entering Lisbon isn’t so bad. That’s just from reading a few forum posts about it though so take it with a pinch of salt!

    • World Cup 2026: What is happening with ticket prices? - BBC Sport   Sounds like Infantino has been learning from his buddy if he's running around claiming its all sold out while quietly dumping tickets below face on assorted secondary websites.
    • Mac DeMarco also cancelled
    • I'm British so it very much would apply for me.   I mean, it's a moot point as I don't have tickets so will not be in town for this, but I've heard reports of lengthy queues and given I remember Lisbon Airport having a long queue at arrivals even pre-EES when I went in 2023, I seem to guess it might be quite the wait, depending on flight paths.   Certainly, the worst I've had pre-EES was a 45 minute wait for a stamp at Valencia Airport in Spain, where 4 flights to non-EU destinations in quick succession were placed one after the other. So I can't say I'm enthusiastic about what's in store. Or you know. Maybe I'm just overthinking it.
