They played in Cologne on their reunion in 22, and it didn't sell out 2 nights, one went quick and the second one didn't do the best. I had tickets for the first night for 2020 but then bailed.

Yes, it wasn't always as heavy, the lineup were more varied and better. It is RAR not Metal AM Ring after all.

Yeah old school line ups for RaR looked insane. Occasionally we have a “line ups you wish you went to” conversation and RaR2006 almost always comes up, the strength in depth is ridiculous to me

I went the year after...first day had muse/linkin park on the main stage and arctic monkeys/my chemical romance/ white stripes on the second stage!

My first one 🙂 I miss the variety tbh. 

Rock for People has quite diverse lineup these days but ofc the depth of old RaR/RiP lineups is unmatched 😥 They often brough huge UK names who played super early...

Maiden will announce festival shows in the coming week(s). 
Rock Am Ring/Im Park perfectly fits their routing. 
Hannover will sell out in a flash, so it makes sense for them to give the opportunity to more german fans to see them

What about The Cure? Maybe they are sharing them with Primavera, who are supposed to announce their line-up soon aswell.

Don't do that, The Cure, Maiden and LP would be an instant ticket bought for the weekend. Outside of SOAD, that's probably the ultimate.

What you can pretty much guarantee is that if Download get any reunions or out there bookings that RAR haven't already had last year, they will have them too. It's very rare they get beat to anything in the UK.

A lot of festivals in the 2000s looked like they would've been so much fun tbf. In retrospect I think they had it really good with a lot of bands coming through in a way the two decades since kinda haven't.

Could we get The Cure, Maiden, LP with Bizkit in a late set with that Nova Rock drop considering the crossover. To have The Cure about and not get them would be a surprise.

No chance for The Cure at RaR/RiP. It's absolutely crazy that Nova has them, in a bad way. They headlined 2019 and the field was empty, 5k ppl max. Having them after full metal day... And I am saying this as a fan 😀
