As someone who always goes a day before and finds moving-in ticket expensive as there was never no entertainment (im camping at the festival), this is great news. I think people here panicking are overreacting. It's just a stage with a few bands, that's it, and they're all mediocre.  It's really nothing special. Most festivals have campsite entertainment and this is basically pre-festival campsite entertainment. There's not going to be another festival a day before for another ticket, get real. Don't worry.

There are separate tickets for this one. I just wonder how will they handle those who already bought the move-in ticket.

Edit: never mind, just checked, move in ticket is valid for the 10th.

“Kádár also noted that previously popular attractions will make a comeback at Sziget 2026, such as the Wedding Tent, the Luminarium, and the ‘Before I Die’ wall. Visitors can also expect fewer fences and more spacious areas across the festival grounds.”

Yay for the Luminarium

That’s better news than anything else!

By the way, leveraging the Main Stage on the 9th and 10th just makes sense, since there’s a retro party (DJ Oti) on the 8th on the Main Stage. Because they have to be ready with the sound and visuals three days before the actual festival, it would be a waste of money to have a fully prepared Main Stage with all the rented equipment sitting empty for two days.

Exactly what I was thinking.

I’m ok with this.  Will problely make it to the island around 6.30 as I land at 3.00.  Extra party is an extra party.  Really want to see all 3 acts but I will take what I can get.

FFS, our flight lands at 6pm on 10 August. Would have loved to see Faithless and Morcheeba - both proper blasts from the past. Wish they'd given us a bit of warning about this.

Faithless without Maxi Jazz though may hit different though, used to love Morcheeba back in the 90s/00s

Could someone please provide us with the link to the "summary" of this press conference, like last year ? 🙏

Me and google translate are ready lol 😁

It’s a pretty long article about the whole thing: https://langolo.hu/gerendai-karoly-sokkal-jobb-lesz-a-sziget/?fbclid=IwdGRleARfGOlleHRuA2FlbQIxMQBzcnRjBmFwcF9pZAo2NjI4NTY4Mzc5AAEeX60Ghgn--UwCY_g07xy_PWp8INHdl5Zx0l7PurWJc_DznLzPclWbH-YtyqQ_aem_k18vIz_8kvuJv5GxRJZpTw

I love they used 2016 design, one of my favorites.

All 3 artists are interesting, very different though.

Kind of a cool idea

Just checked my flights and accommodation - £95 each to amend the outbound flight, plus £350 to extend accommodation, plus the price of the tickets. It's a hard 'no' from us I feel.

Absolutely guaranteed they're going to announce Wet Leg for the -1 day 🤣

it has to be gorillaz or the cure ...pleek

Are they announcing more acts for Day 0 ? or is it just the 3 acts ?

There’re going to be some Hungarian legacy acts from the 60-70’s and who knows in the tent later on. Will be fun!

Sziget 2027 wishmachine is already here!

You may suggest up to 10 artists and then you are able to pick up to 10 artists from a list provided by them. This is their list of acts:

They are doing this suggested list for like 3 (or 4?) years now. I wonder how many of those acts actually make it to the festival each year.

I just checked the wish machine for 2025, from their suggested names they booked: Asap rocky, justice, nelly furtado, post malone, shawn mendes (5 out of 55 suggested)

Doesn't seems like a lot, but it's mostly headliners and significant names, so maybe they had them booked already or were in negotiations, so maybe these lists of names aren't so random after all.

Most of the suggested names were on tour last year (dua lipa, sabrina carpenter, the cure, glass animals,..), so I'd say it's not random. I remember seeing Gorillaz and Tame Impala on wishlist for 2026, so by that I knew they will be going on tour this year

it’s going to be a day of Janos Brody’s songs on the 9th. He’s a Hungarian singer songwriter. Great to see Szorenyi on the lineup.
