Anyone else do a bit of Couchella this weekend?

Got to say, I thought Wet Leg were fantastic, as were Geese (and even The Strokes!). If only they were doing Sziget!

Only caught a bit of Dijon but hope to catch more at Sziget.

Sombr seemed to be exactly what I expected him to be, raised a little by Billy Corgan's appearance.

Did anybody catch any other Sziget acts at all?

(Oh, and I also learned that oskar med k is Norwegian for 'oskar with a k')

I know people were not keen on Major Lazer, but watched the Coachella set and it was a vibe, was a straight up party, I wouldn't be against that as a headliner on one of the missing days

When it was a 7 day festival, having a weaker headliner was ok and even a positive.

Now its a 5 day festival, less scope to experiment with headliners imo.

My guess is Swedish House Mafia. It would be a perfect fit, since we do not have an edm headliner for saturday. The three lines could mean the three members. However i do not know, how the scorpion emoji connects to them.

I hope. We all can.

Oh. Guys you are so right!
I just really wanted to have SHM at sziget and i literally forget about skrillex. All the clues lead to him.

I’m with you,unfortunately

As am I.

Still not convinced he's Saturday night headliner. Last five years have seen the following as closing headliner:

Chappell Roan

Fred Again...

Billie Eilish

Arctic Monkeys

Foo Fighters

All massive acts. Skrillex just doesn't seem to fit at all.

It would make sense tho because there are still only 8 headliners so 2 missing to 10 ? Skrillex could be easily put on the day with 21P, I think if it is really him, in this case it would be dope and then it could be someone maybe a bit bigger on saturday ending night

They even said somewhere a long time ago that there should be ,,2 headliners on a day,, and if we look at the pattern, till now it would still make sense... Guess we will see tomorrow what surprises do they have for us

When Gerendai was in charge, DJs were usually the closing headliners (David Guetta 2013, Calvin Harris 2014, Martin Garrix 2015, Hardwell 2016, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike 2017). Maybe they're coming back to it.

They are all fun, party headliners, whereas Skrillex isn't really.

Tbh, I'm struggling with the whole of Friday and Saturday's current line-up. I'm snowed under with acts to see on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Whereas, on Friday and Saturday, I'm struggling.

I think I was just hoping for a decent Saturday headliner to make it all better 🤣

It's Saturday. For many reasons, Saturday's always been the EDM day at Sziget and it was expected to stay that way. Financial reasons, customer reasons, etc.

    • Not necessarily but it should be, Download have a habit of messing it uo when others get the bookings on point. Good Charlotte I doubt are playing 3rd down and that too 3 that day while dreamy is too strong. I think you'd have one another day to help sell weekend tickets. I also doubt Papa Roach play.
    • Here's a bit of a wild stab, few placings may be off, and for all I know half of these won't actually be touring next year, but screw it, it's a bit of fun   Pyramid: Sabrina Carpenter, Phoebe Bridgers, TBA (Florence + The Machine), Garbage, The Last Dinner Party, Interpol, Alex James Britpop Classical Other: Chase & Status, Teddy Swims, Clairo, The Kooks, Zara Larsson, Kingfishr, Sports Team, Orbital West Holts: Robyn, Baby Keem, De La Soul, Deltron 3030, JID, Dua Saleh, kwn, Daniela Latila Woodsies: Bonobo, Darkside, TBA (Tame Impala), Laufey, Warmduscher, Wednesday, The Lottery Winners, The Royston Club, Florence Road Park: Patti Smith, Super Furry Animals, Slayyyter, The Cardigans, Skye Newman, Kelly Lee Owens, Teen Jesus & The Jean Teasers   Pyramid: Harry Styles, The xx, Richard Ashcroft, The Pogues, Jessie J, Sigrid, Travis Other: Rosalia, Sombr, Mitski, Alex Warren, Holly Humberstone, Cat Burns, Pale Waves, Yard Act West Holts: Basement Jaxx, Elyanna, Clipse, L’Imperatrice, Nation of Language, Jim Legxacy, Yazmin Lacey, RIP Magic Woodsies: Suede, Chvrches, Bleachers, MUNA, The Cribs, Keo, Bleech 9:3, The Lilacs Park: MARINA, Magdalena Bay, Jacob Alon, TBA (Lily Allen performs West End Girl), Getdown Services, Isaac Wood, Snail Mail, Madra Salach Pyramid: Sam Fender, Hozier, David Byrne, Cher, Obongjayar, David Gray, Billy Ocean Other: Doja Cat, Deftones, Addison Rae, Ren, Viagra Boys, Maisie Peters, The Reytons, Hard Life West Holts: Kano, Thievery Corporation, Angine De Poitrine, Thee Sacred Souls, Brooke Combe, Sasha Keable, Master Peace Woodsies: The Wombats, Metronomy, Geese*, Dry Cleaning, EsDeeKid, Sienna Spiro, Cowboy Hunters, Radio Free Alice Park: Big Thief, Laura Marling, MJ Lenderman, Richard Dawson, Oklou, Maruja, Dead Dads Club, Ratboys   *There's always one band booked for Woodsies that ends up being massively under-billed and gets shut down really early. They'd be better off playing somewhere like Other sub, but I could see the G getting them to play a smaller stage while it's still possible
    • Another Kraftwerk one for me today, as just back from seeing them.
    • Completed my 2026 survey. Put down Super Furry Animals as my most wanted for next year but suspect the moment has gone for that. Popped a big shopping list in the box for who else you would like to see. 🙂
    • Blink-182 / Avril Lavigne / Good Charlotte / Neck Deep    Lamb of God / Malevolence      System Of A Down / Five Finger Death Punch / Skindred / Godsmack   Motionless In White / Poppy      Deftones / Gojira / Knocked Loose / President    Sabaton / Amon Amarth
