I agree, the undercard is where the most interest is for me at Sziget, especially in Revolut.

 

Saw Tom Odell on the frequency lineup, be surprised if he wasnt back. 😵‍💫

It was stated by Gerendai, I believe, that they had acts waiting to sign contracts so hopefully they have it sorted. Although, I suspect we will get a skeleton announcement of 30/40 or so acts to begin with.

 

Florence and Fontaines have each played at least twice before so they'll know whether they want to be there or not. Although that's assuming the acts have any say in where they play!

My concern is, that he was just saying that to appease the general public. 

 

We will soon see next week, which direction 2026 will be. 

 

Ive been keeping an eye on the website, the camping ticket situation is a bit mish mash. You can buy premium and basic, but not upgrade tickets. You can buy tickets, but not moving in tickets. In that way, sziget being unprofessionally is still there and why we love it. 😂

Less than a week before we find out if those tickets, flights and accommodation costs were wasted or not! 🤣

 

Given the number of dates that acts like 21P, Lorde, Florence, Nick Cave, The Cure etc are all doing next summer, I can't imagine finding someone to fill a slot at Sziget would be too much trouble. Doubt many of these acts usually play on a Tuesday or Wednesday in festival season, so should be free.

 

Reducing to 5 days and going Tues to Sat, rather than a more obvious Weds to Sun did make me wonder if that was done to accommodate a specific act's schedule for opening night. Time will tell I guess.

Pukkelpop have upped their presence on Insta in the past 24 hours too. Wonder if there's a previously unannounced act touring that they're both going to announce next week?

I'm loving it. But I adore Aurora and the Chems. As someone has put, underneath the vid on Youtube, it's wierd how you can hear 'ring the alarm' and 'bring me love' at the same time. Catchy!

Also, with a Sziget-shaped gap in their tour schedule and the festival's tendency to book acts like Hermanos Gutiérrez, RY X, FKJ... it would be a real shame if they didn't lock in Tash Sultana this year

I agree. I would also really like it if they've got the two main support acts from 21P's All Points East booking - Wunderhorse and REN. Both amazing.
