Electric Picnic showed some of their line up today:

Fontaines, Gorillaz, Sombr, Zara Larsson, Skepta, Geese, Role model, Wunderhorse

I think it might be Florence, Gorillaz, 21P, Calvin Harris and Nick Cave.

Or perhaps a bit to strong for Sziget.

Whatever will be the case, I'm expecting Sziget not to hold back on the names they gathered.

They need to send a message on the market about the fact that this edition is salvaged and won't be a "redux" edition (despite the reduced duration and the -essentially- worthless moving-in), so I would be expecting them to push a solid % of the higher cartel they have put together (despite it being poor or rich).

may be reading a bit into it but Deftones have an album named 'Adrenaline' and The xx have a track named 'Lips' (the word 'lips' feels particularly intentional idk why)

EDIT: probably wishful thinking motivated by how much i want to see The xx

Would be very disappointed if Deftones announced. Would love to see The xx, just not 100 per cent sure that Sziget is the venue I want to see them at, if that makes sense.

Wtf is your problem man ? Can't people love metal ? Only if you don't like them it doesn't mean everybody doesn't too

(My nerves got out now sorry for that)

But i think thats exactly what sziget needs now ( something from every genre, right ?) prove me wrong

Oh, I have many, many problems. However, none of them are your business.

I didn't state Sziget shouldn't book Deftones, or that they are a sh*t band or they'll ruin the festival. I simply stated that I would be disappointed if they were announced.

So, please f**k off with your childish "what the the f**k is your problem man" - this is a forum, people express their opinions. But we tend to do it is a far more friendly way than you are at the moment. So, either leave, or get an attitude overhaul.

Oh dude, you've done a wrong one there. Definitely not how we interract in here. I'm guessing you're about 19; well, most of us in here are an adult and behave like one (usually!)

Suggest you read the room and do the same, or pop over to the Reading and Leeds forum, they'll welcome you with open arms.

Well then sorry for that but who the hell just casually says that he would be ,,dissapointed" for a big star like that to be booked, I have never heard anything like that so thats why my reaction was like that it sounded like a hate on deftones

(Edit)

Sorry ,,VERY dissapointed,,

I think you picked a wrong festival, fella. Seems like you’d have much more fun at Nova Rock or Hellfest…

Okay, let's talk sensibly. My statement was that I would be very disappointed if Deftones were booked. They would be a headliner, and my disappointment would stem from there being a lot of acts playing festivals who would be a better fit as headliner for my musical tastes.

I would happily take The Cure, Nick Cave, Fontaines, Florence, Lorde, Tyler, 21 Pilots, Florence, Raye, Chase & Status  - I enjoy all of these - but I don't know or enjoy Deftones and, therefore, wouldn't watch them.

It was a purely selfish statement about me and my tastes. That said, I'm coming with five other people and, according to our group chat none of them want to watch Deftones.

Would they be a good booking as a whole? I have absolutely no idea. They clearly have a fanbase, but would they attract casual ticket-buyers in the way other big metals bands might? Again, I have no idea.....but I suspect not.

Oh I see now, I guess you don't know that sziget was starting as a rock festival back in the years 🤦‍♂️ and now Gerendai the founder is back

Thats just normal isn't it? I would be disappointed if Linkin Park got booked. Or if Foo Fighters got booked, as they are dated and no interest.

But be excited if xx and Bjork got announced.

Even the last few years under Gerendai’s leadership were leaning more and more towards pop and EDM. You also have to realise that most of the big rock/metal bands are touring in June and not August.

Sombr highly likely / Twenty One Pilots looks like it

@Sziget2025_Leaks - care to offer us a few days of sleuthing ahead of next week's announcement?

@Sziget2025_Leaks (you really need to amend your name!). Can you advise how many acts named on this poster will be playing Sziget?

    • Not necessarily but it should be, Download have a habit of messing it uo when others get the bookings on point. Good Charlotte I doubt are playing 3rd down and that too 3 that day while dreamy is too strong. I think you'd have one another day to help sell weekend tickets. I also doubt Papa Roach play.
    • Here's a bit of a wild stab, few placings may be off, and for all I know half of these won't actually be touring next year, but screw it, it's a bit of fun   Pyramid: Sabrina Carpenter, Phoebe Bridgers, TBA (Florence + The Machine), Garbage, The Last Dinner Party, Interpol, Alex James Britpop Classical Other: Chase & Status, Teddy Swims, Clairo, The Kooks, Zara Larsson, Kingfishr, Sports Team, Orbital West Holts: Robyn, Baby Keem, De La Soul, Deltron 3030, JID, Dua Saleh, kwn, Daniela Latila Woodsies: Bonobo, Darkside, TBA (Tame Impala), Laufey, Warmduscher, Wednesday, The Lottery Winners, The Royston Club, Florence Road Park: Patti Smith, Super Furry Animals, Slayyyter, The Cardigans, Skye Newman, Kelly Lee Owens, Teen Jesus & The Jean Teasers   Pyramid: Harry Styles, The xx, Richard Ashcroft, The Pogues, Jessie J, Sigrid, Travis Other: Rosalia, Sombr, Mitski, Alex Warren, Holly Humberstone, Cat Burns, Pale Waves, Yard Act West Holts: Basement Jaxx, Elyanna, Clipse, L’Imperatrice, Nation of Language, Jim Legxacy, Yazmin Lacey, RIP Magic Woodsies: Suede, Chvrches, Bleachers, MUNA, The Cribs, Keo, Bleech 9:3, The Lilacs Park: MARINA, Magdalena Bay, Jacob Alon, TBA (Lily Allen performs West End Girl), Getdown Services, Isaac Wood, Snail Mail, Madra Salach Pyramid: Sam Fender, Hozier, David Byrne, Cher, Obongjayar, David Gray, Billy Ocean Other: Doja Cat, Deftones, Addison Rae, Ren, Viagra Boys, Maisie Peters, The Reytons, Hard Life West Holts: Kano, Thievery Corporation, Angine De Poitrine, Thee Sacred Souls, Brooke Combe, Sasha Keable, Master Peace Woodsies: The Wombats, Metronomy, Geese*, Dry Cleaning, EsDeeKid, Sienna Spiro, Cowboy Hunters, Radio Free Alice Park: Big Thief, Laura Marling, MJ Lenderman, Richard Dawson, Oklou, Maruja, Dead Dads Club, Ratboys   *There's always one band booked for Woodsies that ends up being massively under-billed and gets shut down really early. They'd be better off playing somewhere like Other sub, but I could see the G getting them to play a smaller stage while it's still possible
    • Another Kraftwerk one for me today, as just back from seeing them.
    • Completed my 2026 survey. Put down Super Furry Animals as my most wanted for next year but suspect the moment has gone for that. Popped a big shopping list in the box for who else you would like to see. 🙂
    • Blink-182 / Avril Lavigne / Good Charlotte / Neck Deep    Lamb of God / Malevolence      System Of A Down / Five Finger Death Punch / Skindred / Godsmack   Motionless In White / Poppy      Deftones / Gojira / Knocked Loose / President    Sabaton / Amon Amarth
