I'd take all 3 this year without question over him myself. Yes at festivals where there is a clashing headliner you like its not a big deal, I dont think that's a debate. Unfortunately not every festival these days has that or even one clashing.

I know music is subjective, I just can't imagine what the parallel dimension where Snow Patrol are better headliners than David Byrne is like.

Other than the headliners and Alex James the only act I can see with their day confirmed is Tom Grennan as his dates line him up for Friday. Him into David Byrne would be the weirdest segue ever if he's on the Obelisk

It seems like Tramlines and Truck are announcing their lineups soon which usually gives us a few other potential names so worth keeping an eye out

David Gray was on my radar for next year. He's doing a couple of gigs with the Divine Comedy next summer and I could see both being at Latitude, as would fit the demographic.

Charlatans will also be touring new material next year, so would be in the frame for it too I'd think?

All three would be good line up fillers for the main stage and would be popular with the middle aged parents (like me).

Could see all of these being reasonable additions

Truck are starting to send out their hints, Maccabees, Vaccines and CMAT all confirmed so far

Tramlines, Ynot and Victorious are all announcing next week too and usually have a bit of crossover so worth keeping an eye out

Scissor Sisters are playing Ludlow Castle on the Sunday, so they are another possibility for Friday or Saturday.

They are also at Audley End in Essex, so unlikely for Latitude

I wouldnt rule them out entirely, Billy Ocean has a Colchester gig a month later and that's a similar distance but it probably would make them less likely as you say

Could potentially see a few of these names as its the same weekend

Looks like the main other names for Truck and Tramlines include Blossoms and Courteeners who I could maybe see, the others have played prominent slots in the last 2 years (Fatboy Slim, Kaisers etc) so not a chance

Another festival the same weekend which has had some crossover before

Couple of other tidbits

Wet Leg are playing Tramlines Sunday so will be one of the other days and Self Esteem has a gig in Cardiff on Friday so probably puts her in place for Sunday

The social medias have sparked up again so wouldn't be surprised if we get some more names soon

Quick question for those in the know as I can't seem to get a response form the festival themselves!

We're looking at coming as a group of four adults and one child (child will be 4 at the time of the festival)
Would we all be able to access family camping with this ratio? We'd like to share childcare but the T&Cs don't seem to give a concrete answer on the ratio.

Curious if we'd need all five tickets under one booking for this, or if two adults (me and my partner) could book separately.
It's been about 5/6 years since I was last in family camping there and it felt like things were beginning to get stricter!

I'd wait for a second opinion but it sounds like if you turn up initially together, you should be ok.

It sounds like you need to book a family group ticket (including the child), then contact them here to add extra adults.

However, I have spotted this which may leave you out of luck - "Due to limited space, the Family Campsite area is restricted to relatives and guardians of children."

I did Latitude a few years ago and unless the child is very young you should be fine in general camping. It gets quiet straight away after headliners and no R&L antics etc, people out for a dance come back quietly.
