Yeah I can fountaines being a "co headliner" at R&L next year

Don’t think they need to be a coheadliner with the tickets they’ve done this year.

Thursday: Creeper and someone else

Friday: amyl and the sniffers/the hives

Saturday: rise against

Would like wunderhorse but they are doing a lot of festivals this year so kinda think it'll be the end of the Midas cycle and wont be about

The Hives would be a great shout, outstanding live act. Would probably headline though

Do we think coheadliners was just a one off for this year? I only went on Saturday so didn’t see how it worked but must’ve been a glorified sub slot really just with longer set time?

As mentioned in this thread already, I think Creeper as a smaller Thurs headliner with Amyl + Viagra Boys on Friday and Rise Against + Menzingers on Saturday feels like a solid Trees lineup.

James did mention on the pod about being wary of booking a pop punk headliner and being too much like Slam Dunk. Would a returning Good Charlotte or The Offspring be too big?

Been a while for The Front Bottoms to come back to the UK too hasn’t it? Not sure if Weezer will be touring next summer but they would be near the top of my wishlist too.

Personally i hope co-headliners doesn't continue as I think it's a load of bollocks.

Good Charlotte could work but I think the offspring are maybe slightly too big still.

I wonder with how well kneecap went if they would consider someone like Denzel Curry

Other names that could be in with a shout: billy talent, papa roach, the darkness and the ever rumoured Lower than Atlantis comeback

Last time was December 2023, so not super long (even if it feels long to me), I'm not expecting them back till 2027 now once they have a new album out and have toured it in the US first.

I would be well happy with Amyl & Viagra Boys. I struggle to predict Trees headliners as I can never really gage what sized headliners they book, to me it never looks that consistant in size but that could be my lack of knowledge on a lot of acts they book.

Chuck Frank Turner on the main stage with Amyl & VB and I am back. To be honest its the headliners and subs that get me to Trees as a lot is not to my taste and a little on the heavy side. I like that idead of co-heads as a better chance of having headliners I like.

Would like them to pad out the lineup with the like of Lambrini Girls, Crawlers, Pale Waves, Unpeople, Cassyette, Rory on the main plus more shade if its going to be that hot again. Stayed off site, so much kudos to those camping.

I think we'll be seeing frank turner headline in 2027 for the 20th anniversary as opposed to next year.

Although as much as I do enjoy frank turner I think it would be a waste of headline slot, they should get him to do a special opening set on Thursday instead or summit

Biffy for 20th anniversary? 👀

Agreed on Frank though, maybe headline the Wednesday of the 20th anniversary or something.

This is my attempt at a dream line up for next year, thought I think I have been overly ambitious in some of the bookings, especially putting Billy Talent as a co-headline bc realistically Shikari would just headline outright. If I get even a handful of these bands I will be very happy!515768485_3151173198366668_7224387229889160315_n.jpg?_nc_cat=101&ccb=1-7&_nc_sid=0024fc&_nc_ohc=owraRNFz3BkQ7kNvwE4VUOS&_nc_oc=AdkvUsUStLxIUMbJic74HZYr1xRxKpUZ4eMYOFjVQYdGLQjAB_8ucSW08Uw4zamWIu8&_nc_ad=z-m&_nc_cid=0&_nc_zt=23&_nc_ht=scontent-man2-1.xx&oh=03_Q7cD2wHk66O3T__igb5pPiZiUkLh6ActESaOCvBs7SItI1Fhag&oe=689D8353

Put Billy Talent with dropkick Murphy's and I think it's more realistic

Not sure any festival will go near them but Brand New probably fit this better than any other fest.

They were booked for 2018 before all the allegations came out. Based on discussions on 2 promoters 1 pod, Trees aren't going near them at all.

Have they actually broached that topic? Supposedly Outbreak looked to book them this year as well actually so that might be a better shout. Imagine the image of the festival and what they promote generally is way more important even if they did want to book them.

Yeah they discussed it pretty openly on the podcast. Seems crazy to me that Outbreak would do that, given the general progressive politics of the hardcore scene I reckon they'd get lots of backlash.

I have looked at all of the fake line up posters people have made and compiled a list of potential headliners 2000 trees could get next year and it is extensive! Please see below:

Skindred

Hives

Rancid

Enter Shikari (likely 2027)

Creeper

Rise Against

Knocked Loose

Amyl and the Smithers

Turnstile

Halestorm

Electric Callboy

All American Rejects

Funeral For a Friend

Bloc Party

Pendulum

AFI

Weezer

Incubus

While She Sleeps

Fightstar

Frank Carter and the Sex Pistols

Spritbox

Architects

Bad Religion

The Interrupters

The Bronx

Dropkick Murphys

Obviously there was a few more who i disregarded either being to big like Deftones or a bit to left field like Wolf Alice

Skindred - not headliners, 2nd down at best

Hives - possible

Rancid - very unlikely for this festival, more of a punk crowd

Enter Shikari (likely 2027) - possible

Creeper - possible as the band booker loves them

Rise Against - possible (and over in Europe at that time next year)

Knocked Loose - unlikely to headline this festival albeit granted have played main before when smaller

Amyl and the Sniffers - possible

Turnstile - not now, ship has sailed for time being

Halestorm - not the right fit for trees

Electric Callboy - very unlikely for trees, seems more slam dunk

All American Rejects - possible

Funeral For a Friend - possible

Bloc Party - not at trees

Pendulum - very unlikely for trees

AFI - possible

Weezer - unlikely for next year but would be a huge get in the future sometime

Incubus - too big

While She Sleeps - possible

Fightstar - possible

Frank Carter and the Sex Pistols - inactive

Spritbox - very unlikely, seem very Live Nation

Architects - the booker says he's given up trying to book them now

Bad Religion - not the right fit for trees

The Interrupters - more slam dunk

The Bronx - headline a tent at best

Dropkick Murphys - possible

Obviously there was a few more who i disregarded either being to big like Deftones or a bit to left field like Wolf Alice

A good list but comments above, I think you can safely trim down to the names listed in bold.

Would also add Billy Talent to the mix.

Good work on this, although Creeper I think are still too small according to James' comments on the podcast. Maybe Wednesday headline or a co-headline structure.

Few missing from the list too, could see Wunderhorse and Viagra Boys for newer acts that could maybe headline. More legacy post-hardcore acts like Thursday, Thrice, Silverstein maybe (not 100% sure of relative sizes in the UK). Also think the Gallows reunion if it happens with Frank could headline.

Just looking at the Riot Fest lineup (with envy as usual!), and Jawbreaker also added to the top of my wishlist for Trees. Could they headline based on scarcity of UK shows?

James doubling down on the pod today about the importance of international headliners as ticket sellers. Exception might be Enter Shikari, who he has spoken very positively about it multiple episodes. Still talks about Turnstile as if they're within range as well when going through some of the fake posters.

Think Amyl / Shikari / Rise Against or similar is still the best guess this far out.
