The AFI dream is really hanging by a thread now. Rise Against ruled out given other commitments that weekend now too.

The most obvious names look to be Turnstile (Saturday looks likely given the bands below them) and AATS if they’re going international rather than a UK headliner.

To me, there looks to be a lot of bands announced who will have very minor slots so here’s hoping there’s still plenty more established acts to come in those high axiom type slots.

If it was turnstile and it's all done and dusted, surely they would have just announced it tomorrow with them? As ally pally is tonight

Not necessarily, could be an agreement that APE announces first for a certain amount of time, or tied into the sales strategy announce certain bands at certain times

So apparently across both festivals (2KT and ATG) there is only one repeat headliner. Now that AT have been announced, this suggests all 5 others will be new.

This would rule out Enter Shikari and - if he also means co-headliners - Turnstile too.

Yeah was just about to post this. I think that was reliant on some bookings being confirmed when James said it on the podcast but was confident about it.

Reckon we've got Rise Against and one other newbie. AFI, Amyl or someone else.

Rise Against are in Austria now on the Saturday, so could maybe do the Friday but I'd say unlikely tbh

It didn't stop them doing Nova Rock Thursday this year and getting to Download to play a 4th down main stage position the day after, albeit a surprise. Expected the Saturday but I wouldn't rule them out based on actually having more rest time.

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
