I think they they're from the right era to headline, nostalgia gives bands a boost at Trees

I would think they will headline if they are playing. Either that or a co-headline at the least but from what I've heard there are just 3 outright headliners at Trees this year.

Yeah Billy Talent are similar size to Alkaline Trio aren't they, arguably bigger. Seems the easiest test of if they'd headline or not.

Aren't they doing doing that new Alter Bridge festival in Cardiff? Might be too close for competition clauses, especially as a headliner / big act.

just saw Skindred on their tour, I don't think they'll be at Trees next year personally but I think they would return in future for sure, they enjoyed it enough that I noticed them saying they'd love to play again on socials

Billy Talent have been announced for Hurricane & Southside in Germany, first official confirmation they're around next summer and looks like they're celebrating 20 years of Billy Talent II as well, though would personally prefer a greatest hits set

Unfortunately looks like I might have to return my presale tickets this year, but would be nice to have another announcement before the end of year to decide with full information if possible.

Still could see if being Amyl, not as if they're adverse to spending all summer in Europe, and Trees have to always have a headliner that I really hate 😂

I would maybe suggest frank carter and the sex pistols but im not so sure they fit the vibe or if yhem already being at boomtown may prevent that also

I think they’d share with boomtown, completely different vibes. I did think about Frank Carter & Sex Pistols as he’s done it before so probably some relationship there and seem to be touring next year.

Yeah they're possible, they asked to headline last year but they'd already booked all 5 headliners at that point so they played Download instead
