I missed the whole shebang that year, to a not insignificant amount of regret.

 

But if I think about 2009 in a general sense Gaga pulling double duty on the Other Stage and Club Dada is one of the things that sticks out.

Depends how big the production is. She scaled well a decade ago when she did Manchester Arena and Twickenham from what I recall.

Too many bangers to choose from. Genuinely really like Perfect Illusion and Dope, two songs that have no chance of coming back around.

 

Favourite is The Edge of Glory though. Needs to be back in full force rather than as a snippet or piano solo. I want that honking sax.

What do you mean by "catalogue seller", please? Am just back from holiday in Florida and the local top 40 station wass hyping a Mayhem playback at midnight on day of release. Seemed really old fashioned marketing. They were also rinsing die with a smile, was that not out last august? I love it, incidentally...

Ah, in this sense, a catalogue seller is an album that might not post the most impressive first week numbers but then continues to steadily sell and remain in the charts for a prolonged period, ultimately boosting overall consumption of an artist's back catalogue too. 

 

Mayhem didn't start quite as high as I thought it would, but also fully expect it to turn over a decent sum of copies each week for several months now.
