Booking Yungblud to headlined would have made more sense currently right now with his rise. Yungblud, GNR, LP and I'd have made an effort to see what's about in the lineup. Currently it would really need to be good to not just be Sunday and then RIP might stop it needing to be.

Way too big to get now really.

20th anniversary of them first playing had me hopeful.

I'm waiting for tomorrow's several announcements to make proper festival math, but now I'm thinking of a run like that on the Friday

Limp Bizkit / Papa Roach / Electric Callboy / Babymetal / Kublai Khan TX / LANDMVRKS / thrown

Yes, please & thank you very much

This would be my ideal Bizkit day:

Limp Bizkit / Cypress Hill / Electric Callboy / Denzel Curry / Kublai Khan TX / Joey Valence & Brae / Guilt Trip

Joey Valence would be good actually

He’ll sub Limp Bizkit, he’s friends with them and is supporting his SA tour in Nov/Dec this year.

True but the same person who predicted Limp Bizkit said GnR so we’ve got more to go on for GnR than Ghost atm.

Let's hope not. To be honest Halestorm below GNR fits too if they are about.

Just had a thought, I know someone mentioned that Parkway would be around next year

I know they are a borderline headliner but their arena tour hasn't sold too well. You can have them sub LB which would be a strong sub for a 'weak-ish' headliner

You could even have them co-headline with LB which would sort the lack of material concerns with LB but Download would never do that lol

I asked about Parkway Drive to my friend, he said he would ask on their tour but I don't see it now. I think it was more just thought from him than anything.

Avalanche and Dogtooth should go up against the apex headliner imo

Both definitely should, put someone fun on those stages. Theres no way at this stage in their careers GNR should be saying they don’t want anyone playing against them, it’s not like they’re trying to win over new people.

No Gn’R? Hopefully that makes them less likely for Download.

Download should book The Cure.

Download should book The Cure yes. It might just mean Nova would rather not book them. Their top 4 and The Offspring is a decent get. Apart from fhe Friday and Saturday undercard it's not a bad lineup. Social Distortion in there too, Three Days Grace, Papa Roach.

Going by that lineup as well, Trivium will not be subbing.

    • Tell me more. Last Latitude we went to was '21 - my son was young & had a wagon so we snuck good beers in that way. I remember there being some Brooklyn IPA on sale which was tolerable - are you saying they don't sell anything other than Carlsberg now?! 😳
    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
