Given the information I had and with the Limp Bizkit announcement today I strongly believe it’s GnR.

GnR doesn't make sense to me considering the line-ups we've gotten since the "refresh". Old Download sure, it makes sense but I don't see it fitting the "style" we've had over the past couple years.

Linkin Park and Bizkit make sense but I can't see any reason why they'd go for GnR. No new album coming any time soon and no full reunion for the Appetite line up.

Would be best getting them in '27 and have them play AFD in full for the 40th anniversary

Why do LB make sense?, their last album was 4 years ago and they've payed the UK 3 years continously. They are getting them purely because of what GNR and LP cost. Weak a piss option.

Because in the bookers head it ticks off the option to appease the older generation of download goers who don’t camp anymore but will buy day tickets. Not saying that’s right but they probably wanted Iron Maiden and didn’t get them so GnR are the next available old band.

Have one headliner that appeases the old crowd for day tickets though.

Have also been told Slam Dunk approached Fall Out Boy but as it stands unless it’s smoke and mirrors FOB didn’t agree to it. No clues as to who it will be but will find out this week. Source said it could be smoke and mirrors but doesn’t think it is sadly.

Agreed!

Booking Yungblud to headlined would have made more sense currently right now with his rise. Yungblud, GNR, LP and I'd have made an effort to see what's about in the lineup. Currently it would really need to be good to not just be Sunday and then RIP might stop it needing to be.

Way too big to get now really.

Nu-Metal revival and they definitely should've headlined in '24 from the set they did. Also likely they'll be a cheaper option and a festival favourite to compliment seemingly getting two stadium headliners

I think LB, GnR and LP is very strong, something for nearly everyone there.

It's rare a festival is sold to me on the headliners. I'm looking for the Bloodhound Gangs, the AFIs, the A Perfect Circle's, the Alice In Chains. Get me something interesting below the heavy hitters so I can make a day of it.

Yes so they should have just headlined in 24 instead of doing another years continous touring in 25 on the dame album and subbing R&L.

If they are doing it then from now on every headliner that can play just those few dates with Wembley Arena can headline and that'll be the benchmark for a smaller headliner.

All I'm reading into this is that Kneecap should definitely headline next year and I will be front and centre.

But seriously we need to calm the f**k down. We don't book the festival, we're not required to go, the festival isn't there for our sole enjoyment, we don't get to decide who is and isn't big enough. You can disagree or agree, but ultimately, it is the festival bookers themselves who get to decide, and then it is your decision on whether to go or not.

That's true, it is a widely shared view though that LB would be massive overkill.

If you want to depart with £125 a day for Kneecap with a couple of bands that's up to you naturally.

    • The Great Fete Festival (Sunday Only) Ocean Colour Scene day on Tickets For Good.
    • I was also at Ghost but seated. When they scanned my ticket's and they came up as seated they printed a small ticket with the seat number info.
    • I was standing for Ghost at O2 London last year where they put the phone in a pouch beforehand so I assume they're is a mechanism in place for people in seats.
    • Most likely not, keeping an eye on Tixel and Twickets might be the best option.
