Bring Me have done something here very year since 2021:

  • Arena Tour 2021
  • R+L 2022
  • Download 2023
  • Arena Tour 2024
  • R+L 2025

They have also basically toured a similar stage show and setlist too. Great as it is, they need to come out with something new.

They also did APE 2019 and an arena tour in 2018 - they could definitely do with a break from the UK market.

They’re my favourite band but the Leeds headline set last month left me underwhelmed, especially having been myself to four of those five gigs/tours. Think they need to go away altogether and come back in 2027.

Say BMTH did headline again, could we see a Yungblud sub? Got songs together and could work well. With yungblud joining them onstage for a song or two.

Think there’s a good chance regardless of who headlines we get Yungblud.

I enjoyed it but agree they need to have some time away and freshen it up

It was still good don’t get me wrong, for me the set felt short and a bit too predictable.

Would have been good if they’d done something random off That’s The Spirit for the 10th anniversary.

In my mind, my guess is Ghost, NIN and Linkin Park.

If the talk about NIN being in Europe are true, it makes sense.

Ghost have an unannounced second half of their skeletour (in the interviews they've talked about it being their longest tour with like a hundred odd dates if I remember correctly .etc, so I am pretty confident we've only had the first half of it).

Linkin Park seem a shoe-in with the gap in their schedule.

If Download didn't get Ghost, I would be very shocked and I think it'd be egg on the face with the way they've been trying to do headliners over the past couple years. I honestly think if anyone else in the UK area has Ghost, that's a terrible look for Download considering how hot they are with the "target" market they seem to be aiming for and a massive ball drop.

Edit: Additional thoughts that didn't warrant a double-post: Didn't BMTH say they're having a break? Also didn't Limp Bizkit reject headliner slot when they played Download last? Also, we've had no repeat headliners since "Download 2.0" so I'm failing to see why BMTH would be back so soon.

They did indeed they said after reading and leeds that they were going to take a break and then Nova Rock announced them, so I think that's why they're back on the "could be an option" I don't think it is them but I wouldn't completely discount it.

In his NME interview at Reading Oli was saying how he wanted a break but he couldn’t imagine actually having one. They were saying as well how they’re at a stage where they don’t need the money which I found to be interesting, just have a break man.

I stand corrected! That’s actually mental if they’re still on the same tour in 2026.

I think there will be new music from them before next summer's shows. I'm sure Oli did an interview where he wanted some new material for R&L but then the twins came and so they didn't get into the studio. My memory is a bit sh*t so I may be chatting out my arse 🤣 but I guess my point is I agree. Be disappointing if they do play Download with no new material and largely the same setlist as the past 2-3 years.

You’re right, he said he had like 12 songs for a director’s cut of Nex Gen and wanted two out already but also that it might not happen at all. Fingers crossed it does come.

Nova Rock announced them at or a couple days after Nova Rock. 2 months before R+L.

They did indeed, but I think the interview with him was from around the time they were announced, so at that stage it seemed like that was it, they also announced the US stuff in that inbetween

I think we are thinking about different interviews. Yeah, you are right about the one when they got announced and I'm thinking of the one around R+L.

Just seen they did the same set at Louder Than Life this weekend as R&L but added a bullet with my name on (live debut). Same set time too, weird.

It’s going to be Limp Bizkit GnR Linkin Park for Download.

The fact this came before LB was announced anywhere I’d suggest this is spot on. Hope it’s wrong and it’s NIN instead of GNR though.

Limp Bizkit / Yungblud

Guns N Roses / Volbeat

Linkin Park / Bad Omens

Rumours of Primavera but could just be wishful thinking. Obviously have the new album due to the Tron film.

That's not rumours, it was a fake poster. But who knows, most of the times I'm wrong

Several people have said that rumour and the fact Limp Bizkit are now playing shows in Europe at the time suggests to me they’re around. Think it’s nailed on unfortunately. Depending on RaR I may sell download ticket and go there instead.

I think for who is about BMTH and TOP are the most solid rumours we have but at this point NIN can be put in as a rumour as they could be about as they’ve got a new album.

First mention of LB looked to be on 12th Sept, early call that one.

    • Sabrina I actually think is alright, but as an overall thing including Fontaines in the mix it does look very boring.
    • I went to the O2 show as had cheap NHS tickets. I did love the whole Machine Gun Kelly vs MGK Emo/Pop Punk stuff amusing and could see that show going down well. I thought it was so funny watching the video skits of a die hard old skool fan gradually morphing in to an Emo Kid. That show with less old Machine Gun Kelly tunes and more MGK Pop-Punk would be ace.   Pair him against a heavy act on the other stage and jobs a goodun,
    • Not sure if this is allowed, but I have an additional daily ticket which I’m willing to sell for a heavily reduced price. If you, or someone you know wants to go that day, but wouldn’t for the original price, let me know.    Edit: It’s for Friday
    • Couple of standing tickets left on ticketmaster if anyone is still trying
    • Choosing  I think boycotting a festival you would usually attend simply because you don't like one of the acts is pretty petulant to be honest, just go and watch a different stage. There are plenty of the usual slam dunk attendees who would be into him, as well as attracting new festivalgoers too.
