He flies now.

Yeah, some really nice interviews out there about his fear of flying (even before the incident) and how he's overcome most of it nowadays.

I'm kinda in agreement though, I don't see Blink coming over for DL exclusively. It would have to tie in to a larger European festival circuit or arena tour which we can't see atm. I would guess they start releasing new material early next year for a mid-2026 album release?

Is it possible Download have actually got Ghost on a festival exclusive? Seeing how much their popularity has risen particularly the past year.

As has been pointed out, there’s still other fests that Ghost could headline along with DL who are yet to announce.

APEX: Limp Bizkit / Architects / Papa Roach / Hollywood Undead / Kublai Khan TX / South Arcade / Guilt Trip

OPUS: Marilyn Manson / Behemoth / Papeface Swiss

AVALANCHE: Soft Play

DOGTOOTH: Blood Incantation

APEX: Ghost / Trivium / A Perfect Circle / The Pretty Reckless / Three Days Grace / Mammoth / Royal Republic / Unto Others

OPUS: Electric Callboy / Babymetal / Bury Tomorrow

AVALANCHE: Social Distortion

DOGTOOTH: Cavalera (Chaos A.D.)

APEX: Linkin Park / Bad Omens / Ice Nine Kills / Coheed and Cambria / PRESIDENT / Hot Milk / LANDMVRKS / thrown

OPUS: Volbeat / The Warning / Breaking Benjamin

AVALANCHE: Bilmuri

DOGTOOTH: Static-X

Struggled with which way around Trivium and APC should go. I think Trivium have earned a sub spot by now after that successful tour with Bullet and their immense BOA headline set but APC seem to command big sub slots wherever they go.

Papa Roach could also sub but if Architects are about, they can’t do Sunday and they aren’t doing anything less than subbing.

They haven't earned it lol. The tour was successful yet not sold out because of Bullet. It was half empty until they came on. Papa Roach won't stay away for a long as they have, get sub everywhere else and play 3rd at Download while Trivium sub lol. One sold out arena dates themselves and one didn't with a bigger co-headliner.

The Guns n Roses rumour started by someone who said they were playing Nova Rock too, which they are not.

Some guy in here said he’s been told by his mate Linkin park GnR have been booked that was way back in July. What I was told was headliner debut album before 1991.

Because it's having a year off in the UK and he's got a perfect opportunity to really open up his following after gaining new fans anyway at the Sabbath tribute.

Is it? Thought he already announced Bludfest 2 for next year? Unless I’m mistaken

If Bullet subbed this year, Trivium can sub next, it’s as simple as that. The tour was close to being a sell out and was not carried by Bullet alone. Manchester, for example, got rammed for when Trivium came on.

Bludfest 1 was 2024
Bludfest 2 was 2025
Bludfest 3 isn't confirmed yet and he could well take a year off to do a "normal" festival circuit.

Whether in headline status for DL is another conversation, personally can't see it.

Which was also the case for NIN, right? I think this is comfortably bringing me back to Ghost, Linkin Park, X (probably Limp Bizkit)

That trio wouldn't be a shock, but its not shifting over 75k tickets.

That was this year already pal.

Its not though it is, Bullet did all the pulling for it. The amount of space for Trivium on standing was crazy, my mate was there too separately and agreed. I got there 15 minutes before Trivium finished and walked to the front area where the stage came out at least as easy as anything. Now if that is considered almsot selling out in terms of how crowded not got for bullet then I take it back. Trivium on their own could have got away with playing the academy twice. There is no way either way Trivium are playing higher than Papa Roach at Download, they are playing lower than sub everywhere else this summer.

I had been told Linkin Park and two clues. One of which is basically Limp Bizkit which seems likely given the other announcements. I can’t think of many other bands who debut album was before 1991 that’ll play. It’ll be GnR and likely an exclusive deal.

More likely to be The Cure based off of them being announced for Nova Rock, formed in 1976 and their debut released in 1979. Guns n Roses are the worst band to waste an exclusivity deal on

The Cure are headlining Isle of Wight. Download wouldn’t book them anyway. They should, but they won’t.

Yeah my bad. Back on the Yungblud for main sub train lol!

also papa roach are bigger than trivium at this stage. Think trivium are second stage headliners.

    • Not necessarily but it should be, Download have a habit of messing it uo when others get the bookings on point. Good Charlotte I doubt are playing 3rd down and that too 3 that day while dreamy is too strong. I think you'd have one another day to help sell weekend tickets. I also doubt Papa Roach play.
    • Here's a bit of a wild stab, few placings may be off, and for all I know half of these won't actually be touring next year, but screw it, it's a bit of fun   Pyramid: Sabrina Carpenter, Phoebe Bridgers, TBA (Florence + The Machine), Garbage, The Last Dinner Party, Interpol, Alex James Britpop Classical Other: Chase & Status, Teddy Swims, Clairo, The Kooks, Zara Larsson, Kingfishr, Sports Team, Orbital West Holts: Robyn, Baby Keem, De La Soul, Deltron 3030, JID, Dua Saleh, kwn, Daniela Latila Woodsies: Bonobo, Darkside, TBA (Tame Impala), Laufey, Warmduscher, Wednesday, The Lottery Winners, The Royston Club, Florence Road Park: Patti Smith, Super Furry Animals, Slayyyter, The Cardigans, Skye Newman, Kelly Lee Owens, Teen Jesus & The Jean Teasers   Pyramid: Harry Styles, The xx, Richard Ashcroft, The Pogues, Jessie J, Sigrid, Travis Other: Rosalia, Sombr, Mitski, Alex Warren, Holly Humberstone, Cat Burns, Pale Waves, Yard Act West Holts: Basement Jaxx, Elyanna, Clipse, L’Imperatrice, Nation of Language, Jim Legxacy, Yazmin Lacey, RIP Magic Woodsies: Suede, Chvrches, Bleachers, MUNA, The Cribs, Keo, Bleech 9:3, The Lilacs Park: MARINA, Magdalena Bay, Jacob Alon, TBA (Lily Allen performs West End Girl), Getdown Services, Isaac Wood, Snail Mail, Madra Salach Pyramid: Sam Fender, Hozier, David Byrne, Cher, Obongjayar, David Gray, Billy Ocean Other: Doja Cat, Deftones, Addison Rae, Ren, Viagra Boys, Maisie Peters, The Reytons, Hard Life West Holts: Kano, Thievery Corporation, Angine De Poitrine, Thee Sacred Souls, Brooke Combe, Sasha Keable, Master Peace Woodsies: The Wombats, Metronomy, Geese*, Dry Cleaning, EsDeeKid, Sienna Spiro, Cowboy Hunters, Radio Free Alice Park: Big Thief, Laura Marling, MJ Lenderman, Richard Dawson, Oklou, Maruja, Dead Dads Club, Ratboys   *There's always one band booked for Woodsies that ends up being massively under-billed and gets shut down really early. They'd be better off playing somewhere like Other sub, but I could see the G getting them to play a smaller stage while it's still possible
