This is true, although with them being from Oz it might make sense to do a longer European leg

I think they did too many European dates this year for there to be enough to head over for. They only really have RAR/RIP, Nova Rock, Download and Roskilde and Mad Cool that they didn't do last year but you already have a gap of 2 weeks between Download and Roskilde and then another week to Mad Cool which is also a month before Oya. They'll likely do Rock En Seine, Way Out West, Sziget, Puckelpop and the likes. But they are another good 3rd down option for Download gone.

I’d take that, ADTR, Architects, Turnstile, Electric Callboy, Volbeat, While She Sleeps, Neck Deep - some good stuff in there.

Some wrong uns though in Manson and Lotus Eater who I don’t think have come back.

Lotus Eater broke up after their set at Download Festival Pilot

I would implode. They don’t seem to be about though. I’m not sure on the third. I keep hoping Killswitch will be about and play a bunch of the other Euro fests that are yet to announce acts but they don’t seem to be doing anything either atm.

A Perfect Circle would be the dream if AIC aren’t about.

Killswitch might be..they’re doing their European and UK tour this month, so maybe being held back from announcing?

Considering previous years crossover with Resurrection Festival and the likelihood that FIR were also planned for Download before being banned, that's two headliners crossing over each year plus undercard so I think Marilyn Manson should probably be included in the options. Expecting him at Graspop too, Nova don't have room but RAR still could and Hurricane Fest could. RAR could be too early in the year though. I would say it's probably a solid shout that Disturbed aren't doing European shows.

I think it's going to be LB, Ghost or GNR, LP

It is weird that we don't have anything concrete other than LP

Still holding out for a surprise like Blink, NIN or Foos

Ghost and Linkin Park seem a certainty to me with the final headliner being Limp Bizkit or possibly Parkway Drive.

Metal Hammer/Louder have been really pushing Parkways tour and did an article recently about Wembley last night saying it should certify them a Download headline slot

Boring Sunday. Some of those bands aren't confirmed to be around, but I tried to be the most realistic as I could.

EDIT: Just saw the BLS double feature on Saturday. Put another band to be 3rd on 2nd stage instead.

Just FYI, Soen doing later fests and Green Lung headlining Desertfest.

4 weeks out and still no indication - I wonder if the media team will tease something?

So I’ve had it confirmed tonight at the Parkeay gig by my source that it will be Limp Bizkit Guns N Roses and Linkin Park. They are the headliners sadly. On paper it’s strong 3 big bands. However all 3 have issues. Limp Bizkit played uk loads recently, GnR axel can’t sing, linkin park isnt Chester but they’re the ones I’m excited to see. I will enjoy Kimp Bizkit but I have no interest in seeing GnR.

Fingers crossed for a good undercard but I’m worried it’ll be poor due to money gone on GnR.

Also Parkway were incredible tonight excellent stage show. Arena was pretty packed to be fair just the top back sides of seating not sold standing was pretty full. Would love for them to be given a headliner nod in a few years. I don’t think they play next summer in a sub slot think they wait for the headliner call.

As just said in reply to someone else, it’s Limp Bizkit GnR Linkin Park

See I am just not buying this LB/GnR/LP Rumour at all.

I am seeing it everywhere but it's always "my friend works for Live Nation" or "my source who is NEVER wrong says this." Absolutely nothing concrete to back it up rather than "trust me bro"

GnR don't seem to be around Europe atm and why would Download book them as an exclusive.

I am not going to rule this rumour out and will eat my words if I am wrong but anyone can say anything on here.

I could go around and say "My source tells me Olly Murs will be headlining Download" and if I say it enough times people will believe me.

Also Hasn't been discussed on here but Twenty One Pilots have been announced for another festival week before Download.

I would not rule them out at all, If Download really wants to change and adapt I can definitely see TØP being made as a statement booking.

I saw plenty of TØP merch at Download this year and my friends who went to the tour saw plenty of Download merch, there is definitely a crossover in fans and you are delusional to think otherwise.

However I know this booking would not go down well with many and after the Sleep Token controversy last year I don't think I can take another year of something that will be arguably worse.
