So you put 3 headliners on the same day on Saturday?! Impossible to have these 3. Anyway, Green Day are doing festivals in June/July. Gojira are doing many festivals in Europe and have announced a huge French tour for Fall so doubt they'll do French festivals. QOTSA are possible.

well, in 2023 they were supposed to have yeah yeah yeahs, florence and chemical brothers. 

 

edit: in my memory yyys were headliners elsewhere, lets make it two and a half.

Well last years Sunday had LCD Soundsystem, PJ Harvey and The Smile as headliners on the same day..

(albeit The Smile end up cancelling and replaced by Pixies but you get my point).

With all respects for all these acts, they are not as big as Green Day nowadays. Gojira won't accept a festival in France where they don't headline.

But they’ve had the likes of The Strokes who are as big as Green Day, so they are capable of booking an act of that scale. Plus QOTSA for example aren’t as regarded as they once were, they wouldn’t have the same ticket selling power as say Offspring, who didn’t even play as headliner last year.
Personally I’d rather have the 3 acts from last years Sunday to those 3 acts I suggested anyway..

 

Besides, this was something I typed up with 30 seconds thought for a bit of fun, not intended to be over analysed. I don’t even like Green Day or Gorija so I hope you’re correct.

EOTR festival the week after just added some great new acts. Would love DIIV from their bunch in particular. Viagra Boys and Sofia Kourtesis would be lovely too.

Yeah I'd have to agree. I'll be there anyway as it's close to where I currently live, but it hasn't quite landed with me like the last two years did. The Fri & Sat in particular aren't quite to my tastes. 

 

Hoping for some decent additions, they do tend to announce quite a lot further down the line with the likes of Christine & the Queens, Boygenius, Last Dinner Party and Kasabian being additions in previous years. 

 

To be fair I haven't really been impressed with any festival lineup I've seen for 2025. Really hoping we get some DIIV, Amyl & The Sniffers, Royel Otis, Mary Wallopers, CMAT, Ela Minus, Father John Misty.. all of which playing gigs/festivals in Europe around then.

Been to the last two years and was planning a return visit this year but it's not for me - if they'd compressed that line up into three days maybe, but most of what I'd want to see I'm seeing elsewhere so currently it's a no, but I'll keep the hotel booking for now in case they pull something out of the bag for the three days I'd be going to.
