There's as much chance of Lana playing as Bob Vylan being invited back. Good thing too as her music is crap.

I think there is a world where Lana does come back one day but definitely not for a while. I mean Primal Scream had to get dragged off stage in 2005 for being openly hostile towards the crowd and have played 3 more times since.

I agree, Emily wants more female headliners and Lana is an option.

I still think they didn't need to book gnr as a replacement act in 23 Lana was a headliner size act then.

NFR is a 10/10 albums one of my all time  favourites.

She did seem to be gutted when they cut her off. She had a huge crowd at the official start time.

Maybe there's a She takes a low fee redemption ark possibility.

I know this is for the Pyramid headliners but who do we think could be in the running for Other headliners? Reckon Lorde could be in with a shout after this year, BMTH/Sleep Token for a heavier act against a pop artist like Harry or Chappell, maybe Bicep/Chems/the XX for a dance act?

I think Ghost could be a shout.

Probably be a rap or R&B act in there somewhere.

BMTH / Chemical Brothers / My Chemical Romance

Ghost is a great shout actually. Wonder if Deftones could also do it if their popularity keeps up. Same with the MCR mention I’ve just seen which would be terrific! Someone like Slipknot would be incredible but still unsure if that would happen.

I was wondering which rappers or R&B acts could feasibly do it. If Donald Glover plans to reschedule those cancelled shows maybe he could do it as Gambino? Cardi B? Post Malone at a push unless we’re at a point where Pyramid headliners don’t need to fill the field (same goes with Tyler, The Creator). Doubt someone like Playboi Carti would be booked, at least not for a few years. Would maybe say Tyla for a R&B act but think she could also do a Pyramid slot.

Has Lana actually sorted out her timing issues now? Without that any talk of her playing is Academic, regardless of whether she'd agree to come back or not.

I know she made an excuse about the time it took to get her hair done, but on that run of shows she was consistently late at all gigs - to the extent that BST built it into the plans and gave her a false finish time so they could let her overrun and still finish within curfew.

Just thinking about it too I wonder if someone like Zach Bryan could do an Other headline slot. Noah Kahan seemed to go down really well in the field so maybe he could do a job or maybe as Pyramid sub/3rd down?

I saw her at Annfield on Saturday and she was bang on time, she has been for all gigs so far thus tour. And tbf she sounded fantastic

Zach Bryan is likely Pyramid headline sized now.

You really think he's bigger than Noah Kahan who subbed this year? I think some in this thread are massively underestimating how huge you need to be to headline Glastonbury.

He is bigger.  He's sold out two nights at Hyde Park to Noah Kahan's one night.

She was 20 minutes late at Cardiff

The setlists are also embarrassingly short, especially considering the pricing of tickets - 1 hour and 25 minutes on average this tour, and that includes two songs that aren't actually live (just pre-recorded and projected on the screen), plus a few interludes/monologues.

I'm a huge fan of her, NFR and BTD are both near impeccable albums in my opinion. I saw her on the Other Stage in 2023 and have tickets for Wembley Stadium on Thursday. But she can't ever headline Glastonbury. She has such little regard for her fans, it's too much of a risk for Emily Eavis to take with how many other (more reliable) options they have.

It's a huge shame, but sadly I doubt it will ever happen, and my head says I don't think it should either.

Smaller than Snow Patrol

I found it a smaller crowd than Snow Patrol. I went for a beer and a sit down in the Glade between them and had a much easier job getting back in for Wolf Alice.

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
