Already a good few names crossing over on the lowlands lineup but also so many more on there I’d love to have at Sziget

Great names. Would be happy with Cat Burns,Cmat,Jamie XX,Khruangbin,Lola Young,London Grammar,Mk,Gee,The Murder Capital,Suki,Waterhouse,Vampire Weekend,Wallows.

I wish Sziget would’ve done something similar regarding the undercard.

Would happily take London Grammar, Lola Young, Royel Otis, Suki Waterhouse, Vampire Weekend, MK.Gee, Fontaines, Khruangbin, Chase and Status.

So many good acts around and, so far, Sziget only has a handful of them.

I really hope announcement three has more known acts because the group I'm going with are getting very restless.

Would love to know how ticket sales are going because, from a recognisability point of view I can't begin to imagine people from across Europe rushing to Budapest this summer for the current line-up.

This ad says get ready for the biggest stars on “the stage” of Sziget. It is a weird phrasing. First I thought I read at the main stage but doesn’t actually say that. But it says “THE” stage which refers to a single stage. So if it IS in fact acts from the main stage despite the weird phrasing, other than the headliners it included:

Armin, Nelly, Papa Roach, Kiss of Life.

If this is in fact true I have a few questions: Why Kiss of life included when they are clearly not a sub as the others? Is Armin then really a sub? Surely we have other names as well on the main stage already why specifically mention Kiss of Life?

Either way if this is right, we at least are still missing 3 subs on the main.

Why this seems right is because Justice and Boris are not in this carousel who are otherwise highlighted on the poster, but then they are playing other stages. So this is really likely names specifically on the main stage.

Kiss of Life (yes, they were confirmed for Main stage in other Instagram post) is K-pop which is super popular right now. There are lots of people who are willing to buy tickets just to see them. Even my friend, who I thought would never go to Sziget, is now trying to convince me to buy tickets so we might do one day to see them and Charli.

Armin as a sub is not a surprise, last year they had Fisher and Skrillex in the same spot.

An opening day main stage run of a local band > kiss of life > papa roach > Charli xcx seems like a realistic running order at this point

More comments on Instagram about Kiss of Life being announced than any act other than the headliners.

Seventeen are a K-Pop band who played Glastonbury last year - the first one to do so - and it was a very poor turnout. That said, you can't get day tickets for Glastonbury.

Papa Roach between Kiss of Life and Charli XCX would be one of Sziget's stranger choices......

Glasto is usually sold out even before the lineup is revealed so K-pop fans couldn't buy the tickets and regular Glasto goers don’t care about K-pop I guess. Also, 2024 was a very weird year in general as many acts had a very poor turnout (SZA etc.)

More than Sigur Ros before Muse in 2016?

I would say it's stranger with Papa Roach and Charli tbh. Might affect the atmosphere too. Can imagine a lot of younger Charli fans getting there early to see her and just sitting down/ignoring Papa Roach which always provides a strange vibe.

    • Not necessarily but it should be, Download have a habit of messing it uo when others get the bookings on point. Good Charlotte I doubt are playing 3rd down and that too 3 that day while dreamy is too strong. I think you'd have one another day to help sell weekend tickets. I also doubt Papa Roach play.
    • Here's a bit of a wild stab, few placings may be off, and for all I know half of these won't actually be touring next year, but screw it, it's a bit of fun   Pyramid: Sabrina Carpenter, Phoebe Bridgers, TBA (Florence + The Machine), Garbage, The Last Dinner Party, Interpol, Alex James Britpop Classical Other: Chase & Status, Teddy Swims, Clairo, The Kooks, Zara Larsson, Kingfishr, Sports Team, Orbital West Holts: Robyn, Baby Keem, De La Soul, Deltron 3030, JID, Dua Saleh, kwn, Daniela Latila Woodsies: Bonobo, Darkside, TBA (Tame Impala), Laufey, Warmduscher, Wednesday, The Lottery Winners, The Royston Club, Florence Road Park: Patti Smith, Super Furry Animals, Slayyyter, The Cardigans, Skye Newman, Kelly Lee Owens, Teen Jesus & The Jean Teasers   Pyramid: Harry Styles, The xx, Richard Ashcroft, The Pogues, Jessie J, Sigrid, Travis Other: Rosalia, Sombr, Mitski, Alex Warren, Holly Humberstone, Cat Burns, Pale Waves, Yard Act West Holts: Basement Jaxx, Elyanna, Clipse, L’Imperatrice, Nation of Language, Jim Legxacy, Yazmin Lacey, RIP Magic Woodsies: Suede, Chvrches, Bleachers, MUNA, The Cribs, Keo, Bleech 9:3, The Lilacs Park: MARINA, Magdalena Bay, Jacob Alon, TBA (Lily Allen performs West End Girl), Getdown Services, Isaac Wood, Snail Mail, Madra Salach Pyramid: Sam Fender, Hozier, David Byrne, Cher, Obongjayar, David Gray, Billy Ocean Other: Doja Cat, Deftones, Addison Rae, Ren, Viagra Boys, Maisie Peters, The Reytons, Hard Life West Holts: Kano, Thievery Corporation, Angine De Poitrine, Thee Sacred Souls, Brooke Combe, Sasha Keable, Master Peace Woodsies: The Wombats, Metronomy, Geese*, Dry Cleaning, EsDeeKid, Sienna Spiro, Cowboy Hunters, Radio Free Alice Park: Big Thief, Laura Marling, MJ Lenderman, Richard Dawson, Oklou, Maruja, Dead Dads Club, Ratboys   *There's always one band booked for Woodsies that ends up being massively under-billed and gets shut down really early. They'd be better off playing somewhere like Other sub, but I could see the G getting them to play a smaller stage while it's still possible
