Which if fair, but they should let public know that before selling tickets.

If people are daft enough to buy tickets before a names been announced, that's a bit stupid to be honest. Especially the below average lineups sziget has been serving up last few years.

Not sure about that. If the lineup is the main reason you buy the ticket, you’d probably wait until you see said lineup. If not, you’ll buy it anyway. Only problem was the wishmachine suggestions, those were waaaay too misleading.

You seem to be a bit nervous recently, this is the second time you tell people off for buying tickets. Is everything okay?

No need to even buy tickets from the main site, you will get them for 150 euros from ticketswap.

Those stupid people have to buy it first from the main site so you can rip them off after they get desperate.

Hardly ripping them off, if they put the price is it?

You seem angry, everything ok?

People buy tickets and sell for a number of reasons, ticketswap is amazing for selling and buying.

They decide the lineup is sh*t, illness, no money etc etc.

I never buy tickets now, when they go on sale. Ticketswap, ticketmaster resale and twickets and you will always get a good deal or the worst get it at the sale price.

Same here.

I only buy if its clearly going to sell out and be very hard to get tickets, ala Oasis or whatever

2024 : 19 electro - 21 non electro

2025 :  27 electro - 17 non electro

Definitely going more and more edm... After all, it's been such a success with balaton, why would they do something else ?? oh wait ...

This time it will be totally different because of reasons!

Funny thing is, there's some good acts around this summer and they've all been pretty much ignored by Sziget and R&L.

I wonder if Sziget's lean towards EDM has had any impact of the acts also available for R&L, because their line-up is just as bad as Sziget's but for different reasons.

Problem with linking Balaton, is you can do the same with the demise of Volt festival which was also under Szigets umbrella and was distinctively non edm.

So there's more reasons than guitar music and edm, why Balaton and Volt had to close.

I'd say a major reason was that both festivals were mainly marketed towards the Hungarian population (which is not the case for sziget), and it kinda made the lineups repetitive. The increasing prices didn't help either.

    • Really well done, Primavera. Maybe the biggest name on the lineup as a surprise. (Ecpecially if Robert joins this)
    • There's one way it can get bigger- if Robert Smith joins her on stage
