Meanwhile Øyafestivalen in Norway announced Queens of the Stone Age and other good names as well like Nilüfer Yanya and Kneecap. Same owners as Sziget: https://www.oyafestivalen.no/artister I would take a co-headline day with Justice and QOTSA.

And Anna of the North. Saw her at Sziget in 2019 (I think). Was really impressed with her catalogue.

how many from this list?

  • Khruangbin

would you put them again in a38? they got bigger since 2019 but I cant really imagine them on main stage

also, regarding a38 it definitely needs some renovation, heat was unbearable during bigger shows and daytime and the mold you could also smell some mold in there too - do you have anything planned about this @Sziget2025_Leaks?

If there's a heat outside, there will be heat inside. Don't know what really can be done with this apart from getting more/better ventilators. But mold? These tents are usually hired, they're not used only once a year but other festivals/events use them too. Surely, something like that must be checked regularly...

I did not experience anything like that… I think it’s fine?… And in fact, the sound feels better than on the main stage. I know this wasn’t mentioned, but I’m just trying to say that I generally have a better time there than on the main stage. And in fact I do like it a bit warmer in the evening when it gets colder outside.

BUT this also might completely be gone, since they said that Sziget will have a complete makeover

@Sziget2025_Leaks slight diversion away from the lineup talk.

You mentioned early in the forum that they're planning some big changes in terms of the look and feel of the festival. Are you able to elaborate on that in terms of how they're planning to do that?

Also, are there any new additions to the festival in terms of events/activities? I've only been coming since 2022, but I re-call people saying there were things like foam parties pre-covid, more stuff like that would be cool.

Obviously if you can't share that's completely understandable!

I've only been once in 2019 but they had things like fire shows, a chinese puzzle maze, street entertainment etc. I don't know how much of that is still on offer at post-covid Sziget- would be interested to know?

Social media needs regulating same as publishers, if they have algorithms that push whatever to people then they are effectively publishers anyway. The problem is just going to get worse and worse.

    • That’s actually one of the clearest rundowns I’ve seen, cheers. The transport setup sounds way smoother than most festivals, and the short queues alone make it sound worth it. The barn capacity thing is good to know though, missed sets like that can be frustrating if you’re not prepared.
