I’m in Budapest over the festival dates on a stag do - the hope is that Sziget pull something good out the bag to convince everyone to at least get some day tickets.

 

With some of the names mentioned though, incredibly unlikely. Has this turned into a pop festival?

I guess it's a business which relies on ticket sales and they book whomever they think will attract the most paying customers within the budget they have while still trying, as much as possible, to stay true to its original ethos.

Sziget would definitely make a post about lineup annoucment. Every festival does that, they aren't just gonna announce names without first teasing about it

Tbf I thought they were on a break in 2025 while Brandon Flowers puts out/tours a solo album. But then they announced some shows in early '25 so f**k knows.

He is. Was born 18 November but it's N/A atm as the announcement will be delayed again.

Weird. A contact from Live Nation UK told me they'd be going to Hungary as well.
