Sziget 2025

I've heard that Balaton Sound is not going to continue. My assumption is that if it closes up shop, then Sziget gets more EDM-focused than it already is. I thought last year was about the right mix, Fred is a good headliner even for someone like me who prefers live bands. Leaks, can you speak to the EDM landscape and if Sziget will be more focused on that going forward?

There are some rumours that Post Malone will play Untold Festival in Romania, which is also during August.

I also wish Sziget would bring Carpenter Brut from this poster:

Cool, thanks. As long as there are some live bands, things will be OK. Is Purple Disco Machine a possibility? His new album is really good, and he's the kind of EDM that someone like me who prefers a live band would still go see. Like Fred last year. Mix in the Killers for one headliner, Dua for another, and some good indie rock around the island and you have a good fest.

I hope I've not just bought Prime tickets to an EDM festival! Bringing 4 friends based on previous line-ups, if it's totally EDM-focused they'll throw me in the Danube!! Lol.

No way it's going totally EDM, maybe a noticeable increase across the festival but not fully - especially with a Wishmachine suggesting Sam Fender, The Strokes and Sabrina Carpenter!

Please explain to us, since last year's entries at sziget were not at the expected level with more EDM programming than usual, how do they plan to obtain more entries by continuing with "more EDM" ?

(This is not a criticism, just a serious question to understand "the plan" lol)

Just bought my early bird.  I’m assuming that it won’t be too much more focused on edm as they are saying that it will be as diverse musically as always.   Looking forward to hearing what changes there will be.  Love the festival as it is but think they can make it more spectacular with more fireworks,  smaller stages with more acts,  more art and street performers.  I really hope that the night district idea is more than just more edm.

I did wonder if they were going to focus more on attracting additional visitors on the night time tickets. Try to get it so that as thousands leave, thousands more arrive. Same amount of people on site, but much more revenue.
