I can't help feeling Green Day and Linkin Park are a bit "similar", I'd prefer a bit more variety as a headliner I think.

Says a lot about UK festivals that I agree it's pricier than I recall seeing NOS Alive priced at when I previously contemplated coming but also still way cheaper than comparable events in England.

 

Much as I'm aware comparing the economic power of a Portuguese spender and English one can be a bit of a fool's errand.

Basically a possible Glastonbury headliner is meant to be announcing BST Monday.  I presumed Olivia Rodrigo but someone just mentioned Sam Fender is playing it too so it could be him I guess

I thought Fender's UK announcements for summer 2025 shows might come in the new year after his arena tour in December tbf.

Could go either way thinking about it.

 

I know some acts have a thing that they only announce after shows they were doing what the next plans are so as not to jeopardise ticket sales, but equally, selling out the UK arena tour and the fact he's announcing big summer Euro shows in places he's also got solo shows for in the spring (i.e. both Brussels and Werchter) means maybe we'll hear something sooner rather than later.

According to someone who sometimes gets leaks green day seem to be out due to being very expensive.

 

That person also said maybe for guns n roses.

 

i would assume guns would be more expensive than green day to book but if green day were skipping spain because of the mad cool fiasco i can see them increasing their price to skip spain

Yeah, Green Day being too expensive but Gunners instead is obviously bollocks.

 

Green Day have very fair prices on their headline shows. Gunners don‘t. And if Green Day don‘t want to play Spain, they wouldn‘t increase their fee, they would simply say no.

Green day hasn’t been in Portugal for 12 years! Too expensive sound like absolute bs! Guns instead sounds even more bs!

Why should they skip Spain because of Mad Cool if there are other opportunities, such as BBK Live or arenas in Madrid / Barcelona / Valencia? Both their Spanish shows this year were sold out.

GD played 2 shows in Spain this year and their newsletter said that they will come to other countries in 25. This doesn't rule them out but gives credit to the idea of skipping Spain/Portugal altogether. NOS date right after Ejekt could work though...

GNR will be around, so perhaps there's something in this rumour? I guess we will know soon

This is the safest bet… But if they have Sabrina or Chappell, I can see it being the first announcement, since a lot of people were expecting them on Primavera Porto’s line-up.

There is indeed a rumour about bst + werchter for her. I think Rodrigo would be a weak 1st name. Lets see.

last year first announcement was Dua, the day after smashing pumpkins and roughly a month later pearl jam.
