Lame !

One of the worst lineups ever, the biggest festival in the country that only happens once a year can't present something so weak. In addition, the marketing is horrible, you only announce one name per day if you have big names that make it worth the wait and the follow-up of each new thing, but they give people reasons to complain about the festival every day, it's a perpetual disappointment.

I have to give them a bit of benefit of the doubt here, think people are seemingly really jaded already with the line-up and marketing strategy. But it's something that they have done literally every year since I first went to Nos in 2016, the whole band a day thing. That year, both Radiohead and Arcade Fire headlined and neither were announced until the end of January due to embargos/negotiations.

I admit, the line up next year isn't for me but given what they've got/done so far I don't think it's any difference to standard Nos year whatsoever

I'm actually a fan of this one name/day thing. But I have to agree the names announced so far are a bit dire, even though I really like Olivia Rodrigo as a headliner (big, fresh, great live act) and I love St. Vincent.

I liked it at first but it feels like it's hitting a law of diminishing returns.

The only way to save this would be with one or two bangers (12th and 13th) but I'm sure KoL will headline the 13th and the bands with European dates next summer that would be compatible with the NOS dates and would sell out easily (Green Day, Linkin Park) aren't coming so I can't see this ending well

I'm about to buy tickets for shows abroad as they're selling out fast and waiting for Nos Alive is getting chaotic

KoL plays on the 12th (11th headliner is missing for NOS and for the 10th it's Olivia).

13th refers to Mad Cool and it would only happen for Linkin Park or SOAD, Sunday is typically not a good day to add to a spanish festival unless you are going with something huge.

And it's a 1% change for LP at NOS. Green Day was the best bet, but I doubt it'll happen since it's been confirmed that they are skipping Spain in 2025 by Resurrection Fest's promoter, so I don't think they will just travel to Portugal for the show -and it would have been announced already-.

It feels it can only be Muse at this point.

That's it! I don't know why I had 11th, 12th and 13th in my head (instead of 10th, 11th and 12th) thanks

i was being sarcastic.

good luck selling out 3 days of 50k/55k people with the shity line up so far this year

Well, it seems like Rock Werchter is selling out their Sunday (Olivia Rodrigo, Noah Kahan) really, really fast.

Or is O-Rod not massive in Portugal (like she is in Belgium)?

She sold out two concerts in our biggest Arena in a day.

It was not in a day, took a couple weeks, plus shes not as big now… sabrina and chappell got massive during the summer

What? Olivia Rodrigo sold outr two concerts last year in a day. There were more subscriptions for the sale than people that received a code to buy. Tickets went on sale on September 21st (2023) and on September 28th Ritmos & Blues released a very limited last bunch of tickets.

“She’s not as big now”? So, she lost popularity in months… are we talking about Olivia Rodrigo?

Today there are no names, will Mad Cool announce the Line-up?

they have to announce something good until friday.

Besides the Olivia Rodrigo day which seems to be a very homogenic day that could be selling good i doubt the other 2 days are selling anything at all.

KoL as i said above wont move more than 20k tickets and even 20k are a big strecht , they are not that big here in portugal.

If they want to sell tickets before x-mas they have to announce something big in the next few days , same thing goes for Mad Cool that dont even have 1 name announced.

    • Other things I noted yesterday, away from the obvious…   Positives: - an extra water point towards the back left of the main stages has appeared, which I believe is new for this year (and was much needed) - handing out free ponchos was a good touch  - caroline were fantastic. I’d never been in the Auditori Rockdelux before, it’s a wonderful venue and a great venue if you fancy a more chilled out environment  Negatives: - the talkers. I know it’s always bad here (and most festivals nowadays) but f**k me people wouldn’t shut up yesterday. I wonder if it was partly as a result of people being at artists they had little interest in (due to rain limiting their options), although it wasn’t great during blood orange. We’ll be making an effort to get a spot nearer the front for anyone we particularly care about over the weekend  - not enough staff around (and the ones that are there are largely useless). Most other festivals have them everywhere and are happy to help
